I have made up a shortlist below of reliable goalscorers we could get on a free for £5k a week. 1. Um... 2. Err.. 3. Well.. 4. There's ... 5. Nah... that's it.
The grass is always greener.

Our main strikeforce of Hugill and Wells haven't scored in 15 games between them, and in the 7 games since either scored we've gained 8 points. I'd say that's our biggest problem right now.
Issue with Wells definitely isn't his work rate... I've been really impressed with that. His confidence is just getting worse each game. Both strikers desperately need a tap in to get them back on track.
And agree, scoring isn't the issue even if our strikers have gone off the boil a bit. Think we are being a bit spoilt if we think we should be going out and bringing in someone at front because our strikers have stopped scoring for a bit.

Goals not a problem?

On the flip side Hugill, Wells and Eze have 25 goals between them and we’re the second highest scorers in the league.
We’re still creating lots of chances and they will start scoring again as they were earlier in the season. New signings aren’t always the answer.

We've got three strikers on loan. We don't need anymore.
We need to stop letting in soft goals and cut out keeping mistakes.
Another big summer coming up, but have full trust in what we're doing now.
I'm more interested in who will replace Eze.
Yeah, I think we've got that covered. I doubt Hugill decided to smash the ball into the keepers face because he didn't want to score, just need a bit of luck.
Hopefully Chair will step up and replace Eze when the time comes. Shodipo coming back to the first team to do a similar job to BOS on the opposite wing would be good too, stretch the opposition and give Chair a bit of space.

I think Shodipo needs to go on loan and play as much as he can for the rest of the season. Build him back up after another injury and, if he doesn't get injured again, he'll hopefully make an impact next season.
Do we have any u23s likely to break into the first team squad for next season?
Smyth will hopefully be ready to step back in next season
It's not just a goalscorer we need. Despite often excellent approach play, we inevitably let ourselves down with a poor final ball or a bad choice at the end of the move. Too often we seem to panic when in great positions and mess it all up. Very frustrating, we need to keep a calm head when near the opposing goal.

Most of the team are either here on a freebie or loans from other clubs who are not doing particularly well themselves....there is a reason for that. The bigger question is how on earth have we ended up in this position under Fernandes disastrous stewardship?
Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

That’s not the problem. We create plenty of chances. This is backed up by us being the second highest goal scorers in the league.
We’ve missed chances the last couple of games mainly due to poor finishing and a bit of bad luck. But we’re creating chances and I’m confident the goals will follow.
Big couple of games coming up but certainly not time to start ripping the team apart.

Yeah Smyth should hopefully be ready to step up too. All depends on whether Eze goes in Jan or in the summer.

Er, hello? Have people forgotten that we had to slash the wage bill in the summer, change the entire squad and avoid relegation by the skin of our teeth? What short memories some of us have!

I have almost forgotten Smyth the last three months or so. Was it Wycombe he went to and does anyone know when he last played?
Unfortunately he's had a long term injury this season. He's only played seven matches and even then mostly not for ninety minutes. He's had one goal and no assists. Let's hope he can get a bit more time in the New Year so he can be a bit more experienced for us next season.

The defending is shocking and tightening that up is the priority. Rangers must go into games knowing they need to score at least twice to be in with a chance of getting a point; which must put a lot of pressure on the attackers.
Still, given all the variables coming into the season, you’d be a right plum to be moaning about things as they currently stand. It’s not open heart surgery that’s required, but a little nip and tuck would go a long way.

How’s Oteh doing?

Oteh has been very average, mate is an ST holder at Bradford and follows them home and away. Has the odd good game but he doesnt reckon he'll make it above L1/2.
