I started Tues/Weds thread so here's hoping forthe same outcome!

My 5th game in 5 days, so far I've seen 19 goals, 2 pens, 7 yellows and 1 red.

Tonight I'm going for 1-1, no pens, 3 yellows and no reds!

There was a multitude of blocks, a blockitude of multiblocks...but that one at the end where Rangel from right-back reads the play so well to come across his man and across BFG's man and beyond Lynch's man to beyond the SAR post of the School End and then to make blocking a goalbound shot so simple.

Great reading of the game.

There is nothing I admire more from a defender than that instinct and bravery to leave your own man and to possibly absorb the blame if it bounces wrong for you because you, and you alone, see the danger for your team and because you want to stop it, because you are not an individual defender but part of a team and because nothing, but nothing else matters.

Only player allowed to get away with no shin pads was our Dave.
You've got to be that good to carry it off. See why Spuds wanted him though.
