It's been 700 years, but Rochdale have finally signed a left back. Aidan White signs on a free transfer.
Can he play left back? Yes he can! Aidy White has signed for Rochdale following a successful trial period with the club. He joins on a two-year deal following his departure from SPL side Hearts.
The 29-year-old started his career at Leeds United where he went on to make 111 appearances, scoring twice.
While at Leeds, he had three loan spells, two of which were with Oldham Athletic where he played 24 times over his two spells. He joined Sheffield United on loan in 2013 and made 8 appearances for the Blades.
In 2015 he left Elland Road to sign permanently with Rotherham United but only made 10 appearances and was again loaned out, this time to Barnsley where he made 19 appearances before signing permanent with the Oakwell club. Injuries have always been an issue for White and he only managed to make 11 appearances for Barnsley after signing before he headed North to Scotland to sign for Hearts in the SPL in 2019 where he made 34 appearances.
