Odd game. We played well in the first half. Gave away some silly goals either side of the break and the both sides huffed and puffed and the commentators tried to will a Foden goal into existence and it was all over.

Don't understand the Redmond Criticisms he made the first goal. He is being asked to play the high mileage Shane Long role from last year. Except Shane was substituted at half time. Redmond is being left on after running everywbere in the first half and looks to offer nothing in the Second half.

Diallo and Salisu are still learning and not there yet. Diallo still gets bumped off the ball and both get caught out by the speed of thought needed in the PL. Both getting better.

Armstrong and Bertrand were poor. For all his undoubted individual ability you can see why Bertrand isn't a Captain or had many caps. He can't or won't communicate with other players. We see this time and again.

Stephens showed that if he is going to convert to CM he has a lot of work to do. Raising his pace above walking speed would be good.

This was the plan B we all wanted. Barring the injury to Djenepo it will have worked if we beat Brighton.

Ok Dirk Doone, but that’s not just down to our goalkeeper... I mean in the end McCarthy has had loads to do and yeah has had a few mess ups of such, but in the end practically most of the goals he’s conceded haven’t been his fault. And yeah so Forster has conceded 1 goal in like 6 games... but over those 6 games he’d had 8 shots to deal with! I mean in the end he’s been in gaol for every recent game our defence has been doing well in.

I mean yeah I get and understand where you lot are coming from but for this game in particular McCarthy did perfectly fine and had more shots to deal with that Forster’s had all season (10)! If Forster was in goal wouldn’t have done any better hence why you can’t criticise him just for yesterday

Good news l didn’t have to watch Stephens for the whole 90 minutes, bad news had to watch Redmond for the whole match though.Stephens so lazy he never gets back in position when he does he will never break a sweat, Redmond has lost the plot to his game and doesn’t know where it went.Still onward and upwards. COYS.
