Norwich City conceded two goals in 12 minutes and after City had pulled a goal back, within minutes, a dubious penalty kick due to a ball to Elliot Ward’s hand gave Cardiff the victory that took the to the top of the table.

Typically, Norwich did not just roll over after going down so soon, and they were the more dominant side in terms of attacking and ball possession for the rest of the first half.

Although they still made a fight of it in the second half, Cardiff played the rest of the game out by staying behind the ball to deny the East Anglian side opportunities.

In a week when supporters have almost been ordered to stop expecting more from the players, Paul Lambert and his lads went out to whatever they call Ninian Park nowadays and gave a really good account of themselves and, despite losing, leaving most supporters confident of Norwich winning through the play off finals to be the third team promoted to the Premier League.

Despite the shift in Club politics, declaring that the original five year plan was, in fact, a seven year plan, it seems that only the financial bods in the Club insist that Paul Lambert’s Green and Yellow Army is punching above its weight.

Despite losing, Norwich remain in the top six, and with the season one third of the way through, it is difficult not to expect the season to go to the end of May, instead of the start of the month.
