Stephen Dobbie has played down speculation linking him with a move to Aberdeen

The Swansea City striker has this week been linked with a move back up North to his native Scotland although he has been quick to play down that speculation

Aberdeen have said that they have a chance of landing Dobbie who only joined the Swans as Roberto Martinez last signing last summer.

"It's always good to hear another manager speaking highly of you," Dobbie told the Evening Post.

"But I haven't heard anything from the gaffer or anyone at the club about interest from Aberdeen.

"I don't know if the gaffer is thinking about a move for me and I'm just trying to work hard.

"I'm keeping my head down and looking to get my place back in the Swansea team.

"I had a decent start but I've had quite a few injuries," Dobbie added. "It's frustrating because I haven't had an injury for four or five years.

"It's been a troublesome time, but I just have to keep working to win my place back."
