The rumours are starting to hot up, with the sillier ones still out there for the asking.

Today's crop has it that £1.5m and Owen Tudor-Jones will go Milwall way if they allow Steve Morrison to move northwards.

At 6ft 2ins, Morrison has the height much needed in the striker pack, and an excellent pedigree with a total of 98 league goals since signing for Northampton in August, 2001, a total of 194 games, or an average of 1.98 goals a game.

Who can say what might happen with this one, but Milwall are as likely to want to keep Morrison as City are to keep Grant Holt.

The other has it that there is a 70% chance that Swindon's Charlie Austin will move to Norwich, but only if Oli Johnson and Owen Tudor Jones are a part of the deal.

Another 6ft 2ins player, still new to the professional game, so might be attracted to playing at Carrow Road, although the demands seem rather high for a Division One player.
