| News Comment | New boys inspire QPR’s first win at Blackburn for 25 years – Report at 16:04:24
Thank you Saffa - Great report and an enjoyable if somewhat long journey back to the Island I'm sure. Also thank you Dave B for your preview due to work commitments I only managed to read it after the game but a fantastic read it was too. Yes that bloody thing "hope" has reappeared - I was quite content in my head we were relegated but I'm now back looking at fixtures and potential points scenarios. Bring on Saturday and let's fill Loftus Road to the rafters - It might just be the day we get above the dotted line for the first time since the clocks went back. Come on you R'rrs |

Gallows humor at its best Clive - Bloody hilarious. Best of luck to the hardy souls heading for The Midlands - If it was a Saturday we would be alongside you but only for the Chicken Tikka in The Vine - The football afterwards can do one. However this is the sort of game we will probably now go and win - Okay I'll get my coat..... |
| News Comment | All quiet on the Western Avenue – Fans Forum at 09:54:58
Thanks Clive - Great summary. Thank god Amit and Ruben continue to prop us up financially despite their wealth losing £1.75M of their own personal cash each month must really hurt. Without them it would be back to the days of dodgy Panama ABC loans and bucket collections outside the ground. |
| News Comment | Colback's grand arrival not enough to prevent latest QPR defeat - Report at 20:47:16
Really enjoyed reading that - Great report thank you! I didn’t go but great to hear the full away end was all together as one and not a toxic environment. Gareth says he will get the players giving “everything” and if the do then we are all right behind them win, lose or draw. |
| News Comment | When it’s your day – Report at 08:02:21
Thanks Clive - Enjoyed reading that and a good way to get me going on a Monday morning. After Watford I thought we were falling fast with no sign of the bottom. Maybe just maybe Watford was the bottom and we are now starting to see the green shoots of recovery. I feel a bit more confident that we will get going after the international break and anything we can get at Southampton and Middlesborough will be bonus points. |
| News Comment | Chekhov's winter - Awaydays at 12:12:33
Thanks Clive - Spot on it was a throughly shambolic performance. The body language from some of the senior players was a disgrace. A few think they are better than they are and dont want to do the uguly stuff. Our best hope this year is to stop trying to play pretty football as we are not good enough. We may have to park the bus and look to hit teams on the break with Armstrongs pace. I’m also glad you mentioned Chair’s pathetic free kick as 60 seconds later the ball was in the back of our net. A complete and utter pile of steaming poo……….. |

Brilliant Clive - Sounds very idyllic. I can’t help thinking we have just spent millions on a state of the art training ground but then just after its opening take the players and staff away for a week to Austria when we are meant to be skint….. Looking forward to a season of entertaining gallows humour - I would bite your hand of now for 4th from bottom. |
| News Comment | End of Term Report 22/23 — Goalkeepers at 09:41:03
Agree with all of that Clive - I think Seny has taken his eye off the ball and believed his own publicity and probably thinks he is better than he actually is. I get he is a laid-back individual but then again so was David Seaman but he was also a true pro who maintained exceptional high standards throughout his career. The problem is the back up keepers are of such poor quality that he is not being pushed or fearful for losing his place. |
| News Comment | And we never spoke of it again — Preview at 08:53:39
Love it Clive - A perfect preview and summary of our season. One to forget but nothing will ever be as bad as being in the away end at Oxfords Manor Ground in the torrential rain getting soaked watching us get hammered with Tony Scully in the team. I really think Ainsworth and Dobbo are the right appointments for where we are right now. I know I’m old skool but I love high tempo, in your face, get the ball forward quickly, lots of crosses into the box type football. A win and Sinclair Armstrong goal at the Loft End would be a nice way to finish the Bank Holiday weekend. |

Spot on Clive - Brilliant preview love the "its only Wednesday" line.... Like I said a few weeks ago I have at long last (after 50 years) become very blase about QPR and no longer get the anger and frustration I once did when we lose. I'm surprised my 14 year old Daughter still wants to come tonight as my 19 year old son said he doesn't want to put himself through it and would rather go to the gym and watch Champions League as its better for his mental health. So some of the family will be there tonight far more in hope than anticipation. However isn't it the hope that kills you...... I'm already quite looking forward to Orient away next season...... |
| News Comment | Everything we’ve come to expect from this team and more - Report at 10:12:01
Thanks Clive - You somehow yet again made me smile with the fantastic Gallows Humour in the report. It doesn't matter who the manager is, what formation we play these players are just not good enough for Championship Football. Throw in the poor attitudes and lack of fitness and injuries it's no wonder we will be in league one next season. Coventry were stronger, fitter, played with more desire and had a great plan which they stuck to. It says it all when you look at Jake Bidwell and would prefer him over your current left back. Mark Robins has done a fantastic job. He joined Coventry in 2017 when they were in League 2 and over the six years has built a very good squad now knocking on the door for Premiership Football. I actually am pleased for the Coventry fans who have had to endure some really tough times. My view is we stick with Ainsworth in League 1 as he knows the league inside out, let him get rid of all the wasters and build a squad we can be be proud of over the 3 years of his contract. Changing managers again will just bring more heartache. |
| News Comment | A cavalry charge, played on a kazoo — Report at 08:01:39
Thanks Clive - Some wonderful Gallows Humour in there to keep us smiling the Harold Shipman analogy had me in stitches. Depressing times for sure but I guess none of us follow this club for the success - I think it's pretty nailed on now our relegation these players don't have the balls to keep us up and to rub salt in the wounds Warnock and Huddersfield will probably survive and Luton will get promoted via the play offs. I try to not let it affect me anymore but my poor bloody kids are in bits over it........Bloody child abuse my wife calls it and to be fair she has a point. We go again Friday........ |

Thanks Clive - Like you mate I was buzzing and thought we had cracked it when we beat Wigan back in October. I thought the same under Warburton when we beat Reading in January 2021 too before the collapse. I guess we should know better with this bloody football club. Whatever happens just do not geat beat today. Hope I’m wrong but I don’t have as much faith in the Cavalry as others perhaps have. Safe journey to all those travelling today. |
| News Comment | QPR slip further into the mire with dire Brum loss - Report at 08:43:45
The brief for Saturday was just don't bloody lose whatever it takes!! Of course this shower couldn't do that and we are now very much in the red zone and looking very likely for relegation unless we get something at Wigan. We were fuming with Amos and Lowe on the way home. They were meant to be our creative players Amos is just pony and what has he given us for his four years absolutely sweet FA. When did he ever grab a game by the scruff of the neck unfortunately another poor signing to put on the pile with the others. As for Lowe I have never seen a player look so disinterested during a game and by heck we have seen some liberties over the years. Dykes and Martin tried but were well marshalled by the Brum defence and we just couldn't get that little bit of luck to fall our way in the penalty box. So pleased I have now got a break away from watching this team. They really are pushing us to the limit. |

Spot on Clive - Brilliant and so very true what a horrible mess. All we can do as fans is keep going and try and get this team over the line. Garath Ainsworth should be our manager for years weather we stay up or go down. He gets us and this madhouse and like you he must be fuming with some of these current fairies. Just dont get beat tomorrow you tarts. |
| News Comment | A horrible new low — Report at 19:09:05
Thanks for the report Clive. Tough reading after Saturday. All we can d is dust ourselves down and try to somehow not get beat on Saturday. Onwards and upwards. |
| News Comment | Relief - Preview at 09:52:01
Thanks Clive great preview - I'm glad it's not just me whose mood is heavily influenced by our bloody football team. Pathetic really at my age but there you go it's not going to change now. Bite your hand off for the most boring, 0 v 0 tonight to keep the daylight between us and those below with another game chalked off. |
| News Comment | QPR exit Highway to Hell at junction 21 — Report at 10:30:43
Top Draw Clive - Another masterpiece to go with all the other masterpieces. We all said in the car on the way home we couldn't wait to read your report and as always it was bang on the money. Wonderful to relive the game through your writing. We also gave Kakay man of the match and no surprise really as it's what Garath does - he manages to get players playing to levels they never thought they had in them it's why Wycombe have been so successful. We were everything we haven't been in recent weeks - Playing forwards with high tempo, aggressive football, and winning all the battles and duels. The change to a back 3 with wing backs and having Dykes back also made a huge difference. Give me this football over the tippy tappy shit we have been served up in recent weeks anyday. Chris Wilder called it right - QPR wanted it more than us and it's a long time since we have heard that from an opposition manager. Now if we can avoid defeat in the next 2 games the picture will be a lot healthier going into the international break. Safe travels to you and the fans making the long trek to the North West tomorrow night. You R'rrs |
