Outside Vesuvios yesterday evening...

Yeah that sounds likely. I mean, why would you have a sponsorship form but no pen and be going around the street asking anyone and everyone? Definitely had my spider-sense tingling...

Not sure if any of you are in that area (opposite the Liberty). But last night me and the missus were parked up outside Vesuvios and heading toward the restaurant when a kid of about 7/8 approached me with a sheet of paper, asking for a pen. It looked like a sponsorship form of some kind. I apologised and explained I didn’t have one, and asked what it was for. At that point, he looked over his shoulder at the two slightly older kids that were cautiously approaching us (10/11 ish) who, after a rather strange few seconds of intense staring, asked the same half hearted question about a pen. I repeated that I didn’t have one and asked if they were alright. No response and they went to ask the missus who was sorting something in the car. I said she also did not have a pen, so they turned and headed towards a parked car to presumably ask the person inside the same question.

Now, maybe I’m being paranoid, but something felt off about the whole thing. The way they approached us was alarming, body language etc I don’t like to assume too much but their clothing was worn and I think they may have been gypsies of some sort. I’m basically just wondering if any of you have witnessed this recently? Strange interaction to say the least.

What? It specifically said two years ago the team were sharing facilities with the public - "We meet at Swansea's training ground in Fairwood, a 20-minute drive from the city centre. The facility, with sleek gyms and perfectly prepared pitches, cost about £10m to build. Prior to it's construction two years ago, players trained at a nearby health centre, mingling with locals in communal changing rooms and showers. The US owners say this is evidence of how they are investing in the club".

Prior to it's construction two years ago, players trained at the Landore facility. The days of sharing a health centre with the public were around 2012, six years ago..

I'm just pointing out that it's deliberately misrepresenting facts in order to paint the new owners in as positive a light as possible. You have no issue with that, that's fair enough. Others do, which is also fair enough.

Two years ago the team were either training at the RTB in Landore or had just moved to the Fairwood facility. It's been years since the days at Llandarcy. So that comment about training with the public just simply isn't true. You know what they say, don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Good to see the same lot are still active. As well as being a Swans fan I’m an aspiring journalist. This week I had a crack at writing about what’s happened to our club in recent years. Hope it’s okay to link the article.

Longtime lurker here, can someone explain Perchy to me? Is he on a constant wind up, or is he constantly drunk?

Even so, you have NO idea what he was going through and it's unbelievably dull to even compare your situation.

So just because he was rich and famous he shouldn't possibly suffer with mental torment? Riiight....

Ashley Williams clipped it onto the post, Monk blocked the follow up shot which was heading for an open goal. Proper football heroics!

Anyone who has played football at a young age or trained a kids team will see quite clearly that there are certain people with a natural ability for things. Ever had that mate who is good at everything?

A friend of mine plays football every Saturday. His diet is awful, he doesn't excercise much and he trains sporadically. But you put him up front and he'll run rings around the opposition and score consistently. That's natural ability.

What about assists? That's a fairly important part of a goal.

Yes our best performances under Laudrup were in cup games. So were some of our worst.

That's just not true.

Apart from the Valencia away match, we scraped through our group with some truly awful performances.
