At first glance I read this as Celine Dion and thought she may add something to our attacking options..š |

First saw them live about 1980 as a spotty teenager backing the Pretenders. They were unknown at the time and played the whole Signing off album including Madam Medusa as the encore and blew me away before the Pretenders came on,were shite and my girlfriend at the time passed out with the heat providing the perfect excuse to leave..Probably why they went on to have a couple of hits with Chrissie Hynde as a thank you for giving them a leg up..Still have my original copy of Signing off which came out a couple of months later & the 12ā inch singles,Donāt slow down,Earth dies screaming,I wonāt close my eyes/Folitician(great track) but they were never the same when they went down the Labour of Love coverās route.. |

Even the fog moved quicker with more purpose on a freezing cold January afternoon in Peterborough than that Ipswich cast off and a 1.0 loss š |

Goalās win football matches is a given fact & our lack of a potent attacking threat has been an issue for as long as I can remember. Eze wasnāt prolific but he brought the best out of what we had and is probably our best hope come January if someone takes a punt (Man city?) and gives us the funds to bring a proper Striker in who can hit a barn door with a bango and hopefully an out of contract Haydon who wanted to come back until someone in the hierarchy decided we needed another right back..plenty of points to play for and weāve done it before with a successful Jan window when the Board smell the coffee whatās needed, just hope Martiās still in place to lead the resurrection coz the last thing the club need is another change of manager. |

Couple of them sitting behind me in the lower school end muttering away after Bellingham was sent off why Celar having received treatment wasnāt made to leave play & re-enter which I thought was a good point to be fair. Then at the Bush market going up the stairs in front of me was a lovely little girl resplendent in her striped shirt with her Dad and asked her if sheād enjoyed the game to which Dad replied ā She fell asleep in the second half ā . So did I after the sending off was my response which prompted another Maccam to go off on one how āItāll be recinded, never a red card, your guy rolling around making a meal off it etc etc.Arrived at Paddington & got speaking to another of their fans, first thing he said was,āAbsolute red card and I was sitting next to his Dad who agreed ā who I assumed was Bellingham senior? All in all,a good point, not the worst nil nil Iāve witnessed and a great day out.. |

This guy has rotated this squad & put square pegs into round holes since the day he came in,who predicted Jimmy Dunne as a goal scoring attacking right back? Today is clearly a disappointment but this is about survival in this division & itās still within our own hands that didnāt seem possible not so long ago..Armstrong will probably go on to score the winner in a Playoff final one day, hopefully for us.. |

Same here, raucous from 1st to 95th minute & could see how much it meant to Sinclair when he scored & the whole team at the end giving their shirts to the kids in the crowd albeit via the stewards.Great performance & proud to have been there to witness it.. |

Hello qpr-1968 for dragging me out of the woodwork.Iāve enjoyed reading LFW & Cliveās sublime editorials & sharing the odd highs, frequent lows but more importantly the laughs with you all for too long without feeling the need to contribute but no longer..The club need us & whatever happens,Iām a thick & thin believer for my sins. Favourite cheese? A Bombay spiced Cheeder recently discovered in Aldi..U Rsssz |
