This summer Millwall sacked their recruitment team and appointed Steve Gallen who was without a job as head of recruitment. Now they’re seventh. Just saying. |

Still can’t understand how that shot of Celars missed. I was right behind it in the paddock and it was in, it really was in I jumped up and had enough time to say at last, Celars scored but somehow it defied the laws of physics and went past the post |

Going to a game at Cambridge with my brother and before the days of Sat Nav, seeing the team bus and saying ‘follow that coach, they’ll know where the ground is’ and getting so close behind them that we ended up going through a set of double gates and parking right behind the coach before the gates were closed again. Even better, Clive Allen gave us a couple of complimentary tickets.
On a more poignant note, going to the game against Swansea and being in the paddock behind Taarabt when he scored that goal. It was the last game my Dad ever went to after him taking to my first in the 1950s |

Of our summer signings the only one who has really improved us is Nardi. I was out of the country for the first few games of the season and was really looking forward to seeing Dembele but I’ve only seen a few instances of good influential play, just hoping he’s not going to be another Ledesma. Also the decision to pass on Hayden and go for Maadsen is looking dubious at best. |

Lived local to Southend during those years. Remember watching us get grubbed 5-0 at arsenal, getting drenched on the open terrace, dashing home getting changed then straight to the Kersaal. Went most weeks, saw Queen supporting Mott the Hoople and seeing Alex Harvey’s name reminded me how‘sensational’ he really was live. |

Yep there for that. Also, remember Hawkwind at the Kursaal around this time was v load went outside for a while and listened sitting on the beach wall. Also, needed a break from the amount of ‘substance’ being smoked. |

That’s what so confusing about the lack of information. A lot of people are talking as if Dembele and Saito are ours at the end of the season but we don’t know if we have first refusal, option to buy at an agreed price or an obligation to buy. Maybe there’s no final agreement on both of them and if they have great seasons with us we could miss out on both. |
