If bury were 2.0, these were 1.0
at 10:48 16 Feb 2025

Certainly is. And Graham Carr (wearing 6), father of 'comedian' Alan, getting a leg rub!

Bizarre how they never said who they were playing in that clip.

Edit: Might be Port Vale. They won 2-1 at BPA as league leaders on 8th November 1969, although the game would have finished in darkness.

Division Three North was one quarter of a national competition. Winning promotion took you into the Second Division which was country-wide.

Let's just celebrate the fantastic achievements of one of our best-ever players instead of trying to find reasons to denigrate them.

Yes, against Gillingham at home in September 2018.

Tony Bedeau has died
at 20:15 12 Feb 2025

Yes, it was when Parkin was manager and around the time he tried signing Martin Carruthers as well.

The rumour at the time was that the Bedeau deal fell through as his missus didn't want to move north.

Talking of Hendo, though, last night he played against his 100th different opponents for Dale.

He has scored against 66 of them.

It was announced as 331, the same as the Stoke game. It wasn't the same people as TalkingSutty wasn't present this time.

As people paid to get in (albeit only £2), it counts as a "crowd", although perhaps with an asterisk next to it.

Aye, I was being a bit devious there.

Not sure too many players celebrate goals to any great extent in the group stages of these competitions. It was similar in the EFL Trophy.

And his goal against Spurs scored past their reserve keeper...

I think his answer would be pretty obvious. As a striker, he'll be happy with all goals, whenever and wherever they come.

If it makes him that bit sharper and hungrier for when he is called upon in National League matches, which he surely will be given the plethora of games coming up, it will only be to our benefit.

For teams in, erm, Lancashire.

We'd better add two goals to Dean Walling's paltry tally then, hadn't we?

Not true.

Clubs can request referees come to the ground early, if possible, which is the case here. If the appointed referee can't attend early due to work commitments, a local official will be called in instead.
