Next Manager - Candidates
at 17:08 20 Apr 2014

Eddie Howe also signed Mee, Lafferty, Stanislas and Shackell whilst at Burnley, on the down side he signed Bartley, Hines, Stock, Roberts and O'Neill but overall his signings were a massive plus, however he didn't always get the best out of them. To be fair he did have personal problems that were a big distraction in his final year.
From that list it would be Malky for me if Norwich don't snap him up first, its the Watford connection you know, Rodgers, Mackay, Dyche and Warburton. A most unlikely source of managerial talent bur clearly there was something special happening at Vicarage Road until the Pozzo's took control.

I don't know about that toboboly I am more of the Randy Newman stance on short people, but I do like the sentiment in the "If you give us 90 minutes we'll give you a lifetime" article.

Leicester and Barnsley travel

If you are driving to Barnsley you can find free car parking on the Retail Park at S71 1BQ. Look for the Pizza Hut on the left from the big roundabout at the bottom of Harborough Hill Road.
its about a 5 - 10 minute walk back up Harborough Hill Road to Oakwell. It is also a much quicker get away than the away fans car park at Queens ground.

I just want to commend you on the quality of the articles / posts on this site.

Today I read the "Man with a Plan" article which is excellent.

Living near Leicester but supporting Burnley, I can relate to and commend the analysis.

In late 2011 in our away fixture at the King Power, we played the Foxes off the park in the first half with Brian Stock dictating the playin midfield. Leicester left the field to sustained booing at half tme and Pearson's time at the KP looked to coming to an end.

In the second half Leicester pushed Knockeart up on Stock, Nugent got hs usual goal against us, Leicester on 2 - ! and Pearson survved. To be fair he has done a good job since and Leicester deserve promotion for choosing continuity and stability but it seems to me that it was a close run thing,

Anyway congratulations on having such an interesting and fair mnded site, the review of our draw at Loftus Road being an exemplar.

Our performnce at Bloomfield Road wasn't great but our performance in the home defeat to Middlesboro last week was more representative of the qualities we have shown this season.

Ths site has given me a much more favourable view of QPR's fans so good luck with your owner, manager and the play offs, you deserve it (unless of course we end up in them).

Keep up the honest and clear eyed analysis.

PS I have a a simlar view of Chelsea as some of your more outspoken posters.

Barton - whether you like him or not....

Ahh the old two wrongs argument. Sorry we have a numpty fan, he/she should be identified and banned. Fair play to Joey he did not make a big deal out of it. It got plenty of attention in the Mail although little mention on the Football League show.

You looked a good side yesterday, as have Ipswich and Derby recently. I expect Leicester and Forest to be challenging as well. Brighton who beat us looked strong but they have been on a terrible run since.

We have a thin squad so anything can happen yet, it is still early days and most teams in the top half have much more depth of cover so still all to play for in this most interesting of leagues. We are playing as a team and working harder than I have ever seen from the Clarets.

Can't understand why Kranjcar was taken off and Austin, who got a decent reception from the Turf Moor crowd looked isolated and needs better service and support.

I still think that you will be in one of the automatic promotion spots because you have a quality squad and I expect HR to produce a quality team. Expect the usual Championship twists and turns and enjoy it.
