That's a good point.
Look at the number of good players signed by the big clubs that just can't get regular game time, the squads are so big most end up as bench warmers or worse.
Just one example is Dewesbury Hall signed by Chelsea from Leicester & he's cannot get game time at Chelsea.
You could make a dozen good teams out of big club bench warmers. |

I agree with the previous post's about Multi Club ownership.
It should not be allowed.
There is definitely a conflict of interest.
SR should only be focused on success with one club.
How many players have we purchased & never seen them because they are loaned straight out to another club under the same ownership.
We will never recover our credibility whilst SR insist on the ludicrous multi club ownership. |

I just don't understand all the criticism that is aimed at Tall Paul.
I totally agree with Grumps on this one.
TP has his limitations but he is by far the biggest threat we have going forward, he does score goals & he is capable of holding the ball up & bringing others into the game.
We should keep him, he'll prove a real handful for defenders in Championship.
Get rid of Ross Stewart ( if we can) & also let Armstrong & Archer go.
Let's see some kids from the Academy get a chance.
But history tells us that SR will get it all wrong. |

He's been dragged off in 2nd half of most games with WBA.
Last Saturday he had the lowest rating of players on pitch.
I am another who never rated him, he reminded me of a schoolboy footballer who gets the ball runs like stink in a straight line & nevers looks up.
I know he scored plenty for us last season & we are grateful of that.
Will he be with us next season only time will tell, I just like to think we can do better but strikers cost a lot & SR's track record of signing players is embarrassing. |

Simon Rusk taking the reins again, best of luck to him, he'll need it.
Lallana also getting involved but in what role I'm not sure.
Next season will to a rough ride for whoever takes the reins. |

I just don't get it.
If a player is fit enough to be named as a substitute then surely he must be fit enough to start.
Onuacho apparently nursing an ankle injury but is on the bench.
There is a strange face on the bench as well, Ross Stewart , how many minutes before he's injured again. |

He'll never make a big impact unless he gets his attitude right.
He needs to knuckle down, get fit & prove himself. I think he's only had a couple of decent games, that doesn't make him a star.
I'm surprised Juric is giving him game time he doesn't deserve it. |

The point I was making is that although Tall Paul might not be Premier lge class.
But unfortunately he is the best we have & if he's still with us next season he'll score for fun in Championship.

I personally never embrace failure but sometimes we just have to accept it, as is the case for our club this season.

Relegation from Premier for this season was determined at the end of last season.
It has now become the norm for the 3 teams that come up from Championship will go straight back down from the Premiership.
Yes there have been exceptions like Forest this season but even they struggled in their first season back in Premier.
I'm not even bothered now if we don't beat Derby's record low number of points.
As much as I love this club our current set up (Owners + coaches + players) are probably the worst in the history of the Premier Lge so if we take that record from Derby, so be it.
Let's move on & make sure that we have a club to be proud of in the future.
I know my comments will be controversial but that's what this forum is for " Opinions". |

Give some of the youngsters a go, at least they would add a bit of enthusiasm into a very dejected outfit.
I thought Robinson looked half useful pre season & was hoping he'd get a chance.
Why not, we have absolutely nothing to lose by blooding some youngsters, it would at least give us an idea to see if they could help out in Championship next season. |
