I can understand the negative comments about the number of pages this thread has now reached, and what have we really decided, if anything, to do.

But I think there's something to be said for the fact that the vast majority of people seem to agree that, if anything is going to change, it shouldn't be the manager, as is so often the case, but the CEO.

I expect Nourry will be banking on that standard approach of churning through managers, but if those who disagree can get behind Marti vocally at the next game, I think that can send a message of sorts.

I said before, one simple way to do it could be to sing the Marti song from the off, and regardless of how the team are performing tbh, which will be the difficult part.

They should be dropping it on our tongues just before the turnstiles.

Three burly stewards on hand for those who resist.

Ach you big lug!... I only came on here to improvise some typically awkward gag - now I'm all touched.

Right back at you big fella, as I never say.

Thought the same thing - last time I saw Marti he appeared to have eyes and a working brain...

Clive you've become the Gogglebox of Twitter.

And like Gogglebox it's the closest I'll ever get to most of the actual content, thankfully.

One simple way would be to get back to loud and sustained singing of the old 'eats paella, drinks Estrella' song.

And that should be regardless of what's happening in front of us on the pitch - in fact the worse the performance the clearer the point would be.

I think one factor for sure is Hoos was completely burnt out and desperate to leave.

I know he'd been in this country a long time, but in my experience, American interviewing processes are quite different to here. I'm not saying one is necessarily better than the other, but it's not unusual over there to identify a someone and then just hire them, without a competitive process.

Nourry had perhaps done a decent job on the audit, was full of energy and ambition, so Hoos convinced Ruben and co to just let him leave and give Nourry the job. Seems increasingly obvious that's what happened here.

Hold on I've had a drink. Didn't we just face the same opposition that we had a once in a decade feeling against only a few months ago, with the same manager, a couple of the same players, others now injured, some sold with little objection?

And we haven't, what's it called, REPLACED any of those gimps with equal or better replacements, and we're now getting bummed in the gob in all of those positions?

But we still have that same, what we thought 6 months ago to be, a good manager?

Yet we've got 10 pages, after our years and years of surely for fcuk sake self acknowledged incompetence, and concluded it must be this manager?

Fair enough
And 'edit' still fair enough. Not looking to offend.

I don't actually believe you've seen two thirds of the games. Every time you're asked you haven't watched, for the reasons you just rhymed off.

It's all very well saying we may as well go down to League 1 but you'll be less exposed to that than many other people on this board. For the simple fact that you don't watch most games.

That would be fine if you didn't have such a constant drip feed of negativity when things go wrong. Because you literally haven't seen them when they've gone right.

I'm not saying things aren't bad at the minute but the way you bounce up when it goes wrong is a bit much to be honest, considering your actual knowledge of it all.

You seem quite knowledgeable but you cannot, Shirley, have getting a result at leads with this available squad as the final straw?

Unless you know something that doesn't make sense. A tonking against Stoke I'd predict.

I didn't think Celar was the problem there. He used it well 2 or 3 times. Smyth did ok at times too.

It's getting people around these few and far between moments that's the problem.

Not to pile on Anderson because I think he does care, he's just no longer up to it. And he is getting paid a wedge for being not up to it but

I'd swap Anderson for Bennie, Alfie or Kolli second half. Whichever one might be better at stopping Gnonto from walking right across them while giving a bit of attacking pace to think about.
