BlueSky has massively picked up this week. It's not just centrist Dad politicos anymore The 'starter packs' are great. Perhaps someone could create one for decent QPR content (people like Clive, Finney, Jim Frayling, Dave Mc etc etc). As I said previously, my Twitter feed is OK. Although looking at the first 10 tweets 2 are adverts for crappy mobile games amongst various football bots and bobs |

Love Warbs, however the collapse in his last season whilst partly down to injuries was also because players he had pushed for were completely gassed. Austin, Johansen and Wallace were cooked. All players Warbs had wanted. They lost some absolutely pathetic games as well. Away to Barnsley and Millwall where he left Dieng on the bench because David Marshall had done OK as cover. At that point we had next to no injuries. Then the collapse started. Home to Cardiff. 1-0 up and cruising and we pissed it away. Home to Peterborough, again 1-0 up and cruising before collapsing. He had dropped Barbet for Sanderson for that game. There was also the pathetic 1-0 loss at Stoke. So yes injuries did bite. And yes we were unlucky with Willock getting cut down when he was in his prime. But the rot had set in and Warbs had started to make odd decisions. Had we beaten Cardiff and Peterborough at home and drawn with Millwall, Barnsley, Stoke away we would've been in the Play offs However, the club very obviously should have set about the rebuild with Warbs at the helm as opposed to Beale/Critchley/Ainsworth |

I find Twitter/X fine, but then I never venture onto the 'For You' page which is a crap shoot. BlueSky seems very nice but there is a complete lack of any football content on there FWIW I am https://bsky.app/profile/robgilbz.bsky.social |

Our owners appear to be very easily influenced by a well put together PowerPoint |

Starting taking my son after Covid. He is now an Arsenal fan and to be honest I don't blame him. He has started supporting QPR over the worst 4 year period in my nearly 40 years supporting them. It's utterly joyless going to QPR at the moment and has been for 3 years straight. My other son comes with me to games but also tells his mates he is an Arsenal fan. A completely stagnant club under awful ownership. Our time will came again, but not whilst this lot own the club. They have no idea what they are doing or how to run a club. They've been there nearly 15 years as well |

And all they had to do was break the rules and receive a points deduction in a season where 27 points would keep you up. |

I've not got a problem with the manager being foreign, but it's pretty embarrassing to build a massive training complex, introduce 'England DNA' and when the top job comes up not be able to find a homegrown manager to step up. I'm not sure I buy this 'proven winner' schtick either. If Rashford's penalty goes 3 inches to the right in 2021 we win the Euros and Southgate becomes a 'winner'. International football is so much about good vibes and being solid. I just don't know if Tuchel actually brings that |

Was the most nil-nil ever conceived until Varane got sent off. We are a bog standard Championship mid table side and our results so far have borne that out. No need to panic. It's not like last season where we were completely outclassed 5 of the next 7 are at home and against kinder opposition overall. Should know more about us after that Sunderland game |

I do understand that with 3 Premier League clubs and limited resources you wouldn't really bother covering QPR. The money for a small business is the other 3 clubs. Dave Mc I'm sure will still write stories and reports etc. He'll just 'sell' those stories to other papers and news outlets. It's a huge shame as there simply isn't a local QPR news source online which is absolutely wild |

He's playing right back in a team that over the last 20 games has won 9, drawn 6 and only lost 5. I'd say that sample size shows he's more than good enough to be in the team at right back. During that run he's contributed massively with goals and defensive work. He is rightly our starting RB and I'll be gutted if we drop him for a Prem loanee |

The answer to Loftus Road is to make it smaller with more corporate facilities. Bring it down to a 15k stadium with 3/4 of SAR or Ellerslie expensive corporate seats There's no other way |

Agree with you about that Warbs team. After the collapse of 2022 and 2023 it's taken far to long to move on from that team. The fact that none of them have gone on to do anything better at another club says a lot!! |

Did Sky Sports + for the Cambridge game.... it's just the red button coverage but with more games, nothing has really changed at all! |

Not overly worried as you expect Chair, Varane, Dembele to likely come into that side over the next few weeks. WBA a good side who worked out how to beat us. It happens. We are on solid ground compared to 12 months ago, it's a process and we can't win every game. Suspect we will lose to Sheff U and if we don't beat Plymouth there will be an existential crisis on here, but realistically today was a team that look good for the Play Off's beating a lower mid table side without its best player |

Think Burnley will be in Play OFf's, but Parker isn't a great manager and Luton seem better placed to go back up. Leeds and Boro probably the strongest right now I think. WBA could easily finish top 2 as well |

Carsley is my first choice. The thought of a 'big name' fills me with dread. We had multiple trophy winner Capello completely sht the bed when he was manager. Italy have the previous winner of Serie A as their manager and they were awful. Scaloni just won the World Cup and Copa America, bloke had never managed a senior team before getting the Argentina job, same for De La Fuente at Spain. International Football is all about culture. If you bring in Pep, Klopp etc then it becomes all about them and not the collective. Carsley fits the current trend of International Football well |

If we've managed to get £2m for him that's an incredible piece of business. Maybe he will go on to be a world beater, but across the 2 years he's had here he's looked very far off being ready to lead an attack for a Championship side. Our 2 worst performances under Marti in 2024 (Stoke a and Sheff Weds h) were when he started up front. |

Funny thing is, if he'd seen out a season at QPR and then left to do an adequate job anywhere at a slightly higher level he would be very close to it. Even if he'd left QPR with any sort of class and managed Rangers with some level of humility he'd have a shot Instead the idiot torched his reputation. |
| Forum Reply | Did Southgate's tactics cost England? at 16:21 15 Jul 2024
I'm not sure how you play Spain. Press them and come out swinging and they'll pick you off. Give them the ball and they'll kill you with 1000 passes. The plan last night was obviously to keep it tight and use the subs to alter the game. Where the plan fell down was that Kane is obviously injured so we couldn't relieve any pressure with long balls up to him and we decided to start the second half 2 minutes later than Spain did. 18 months ago in Qatar we were phenomenal, I've never seen anything like it in a tournament from England. Absolutely swatting aside competent sides like Senegal and running a sword through fodder like Wales and Iran. Yet all anyone remembers from that tournament is Kane's penalty miss. International football is funny like that. We'll all remember Euro 2024 with our overhead kicks, last minute winners and The Killers yet we were awful for the majority of it. They nearly did it as well, nearly won the bloody thing in arguably Southgate's worst tournament. Basically, tactics schamctics. International football is mostly about vibes despite the endless tactics blogs on The Athletic etc. |
