Especially as the last two games the third midfielder has been pushed further up to support Charlie, which (Jenas' goal aside) doesn't really work, the midfielder doesn't read the strikers movements too well amend tends to sit deeper than an attacker would which means the loose ball is surrendered, it worked, at least possession wise, when we had the three ball players in the mid and two holding as we played throug the middle.
Injuries have forced HR's hand somewhat so now he needs to believe in it, he can still play one up top with two wingers but have the second striker sitting between the lines rather than a midfielder. |  |
