technically it isn't he's basing it on an assumption we will def get beaten by Citeh (not an unfair assumption to be fair)
If We win on sunday and they lose...were safe! but its not as easy as that and surely it wont be that straight forward. but if we lose and they win...well......disaster...surely we must put in a performance.

If City don't beat Newcastle then it might not matter what they do against us.
Not so as City could still win the title. However if Man City beat Newcastle and Man U lose to Swansea (unlikely I know) the title race will effectively be over.
