Morgan 19:25 - Dec 21 with 2122 views | OakR | Would love to know how far he ran today, seemed to be everywhere, and despite all that running always keen when possible to drive forward. Feels like a real gem in the making.

Morgan on 19:31 - Dec 21 with 2027 views | DWQPR | Man of the match for me. He really drove the team forward and was the main trigger of the press. Also he played the pass of the match putting Field through for a chance he put past the post. I think we have a real gem here.

What a sweet reversal! Just for once, we nab a good 'un from one of the Prem 'super teams'. (Perhaps we could sell him back to them for a small fortune in a few years!)

Morgan on 21:07 - Dec 21 with 1530 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | MotM today for me. For 18 he looks like the real deal. The big plus this season has been the breakthrough for Morgan, Morrison and Kolli. When did we last have 3 youngsters breaking through at the same time? All taking their chances which is great news for us going forward.

Youth breakthroughs plus Saito , plus Dembele, oh and hang on Nardi too ... sack the recruitment department imeediately :) ...then there's Alfie Lloyd being deveoped too ... shocking! Oh, hang on, what's that guy with a surname starting with V who's starting to look half decent? Oh yeah, Varane Sack Noury now! God, the citicals must be having a horrid Christmas with all this success
Morgan on 21:50 - Dec 21 with 1288 views | OxfordHoops | Agree with most of this, Morgan, Morrison, Varane, Saito, and Nardi, are all showing signs of being very good recruitment, add Kolli and Lloyd, we have some really promising young players, with Dembele to come back, we could be seeing some good football. Great support and atmosphere today, and a well deserved win. MoM for me was marginally Varane, close between him, Morgan, Smyth and Dunne, also worth mentioning Morrison, switched sides and played with 3 different partners and didn’t put a foot wrong .
Morgan on 22:05 - Dec 21 with 1170 views | Pdog | An 18-year-old central midfielder excelling in his 1st yr of men’s football in the Championship takes some doing - considering not that long ago he was playing in the nicey nicey sheltered acadamy bubble in front of one man and his dog. That not only shows the impressive level he's already reached at such a young age, but also the potential he has as he actually gains more experience.

Fine I’ll bite… such an odd supposition! Bruv we’ve started a season wish recognised 2 strikers and 1 LB I’m delighted we are playing better as is probs anyone who comes on here. Dougie howser reckons reckons there is some competitive advantage in not telling us how badly everyone’s calf strains are so it’s no real surprise (to me at least) that the natives are getting a bit restless
Morgan on 22:28 - Dec 21 with 1054 views | StreathamRanger | A few more performances like that and we should be looking at improving his contract. He must be on peanuts. Other clubs will get wind of this kid.
Morgan on 22:59 - Dec 21 with 916 views | NorthantsHoop | He had a great game today, growing in both confidence and control. Like the way Marti is using him.

Thought Frey’s movement to create the space for Field was equally brilliant.

Good point its just the experience factor Frey brings knowing where to be and smell that goal chance. Koli got punished all day without any protection and while he protested a few times it was to no avail. Frey will fight and claw much better IMO but lacks the speed and drive of Koli . We can finally sigh with relief there is some goals in this team thank Christ

Agree. It's really is special when you see players progress into the first team. I grew up with Rangers doing this...so great to see it again.

Wouldn't call Saito a breakthrough season. He is on loan, and as soon as Chair is fully fit he'll be dropped. Dembele has had 2 decent games, so again you can't compare him to, say, Morgan. Alfie Lloyd, again not a breakthrough yet. Even with zero strikers Kolli was brought back into the team ahead of him. Varane getting better, and pretty sure most people on here could see, with time, that he would be key. Nardi, love him. But he is 30, my post was about youngsters. No left back cover, no back up central midfield, no striker cover. The major money we spent has gone on a midfielder who won't tackle, was considered weak and too slow by every other club that looked at him and has now lost his place to an 18yo free transfer. So no, I'm still not going to give Nourry a free pass.
Morgan on 07:40 - Dec 22 with 322 views | dmm | As mentioned elsewhere, Morgan has shown up the two Danes to be significant problems. Can Marti rectify their sub standard performances? He needs to because an 18 year old Morgan won't maintain the level he played to yesterday through the rest of this season. He's some find though so, can I say, well done our recruitment team?!
Morgan on 08:41 - Dec 22 with 107 views | dm97 | Morrison (21/22?) Varane (21), Morgan (18) and Kolli (19) through the spine of the team. As many have said, yes it’s unlikely those 4 can sustain the level yesterday across the next 25 games. But my word, how long is it since we had a clutch of good young players who are genuine prospects that we actually own? And one of them a proper R. Analyse and agonise if you want to. But just enjoying feeling good about our team again, with those 4 boys a huge part of that, over Christmas sounds better to me! [Post edited 22 Dec 8:42]
