When my late mother in law was in a council run care home she didn't have to sell her home during her stay as the care would have continued up to her passing and then the house would have had to be sold to pay any outstanding balance .This was in Llanelli, the government can't take any remaining money up to 50k , I believe in England this is a less amount | |
