Never thought of doing that. Great idea

In return a heaped tablespoon of this in a chilli is also a game changer

Love that idea. I usually use scotch bonnet in mine. Plus a literal smorgasbord of meat, normally including both beef and pork mince, beef bones, chicken liver, ox kidney, chorizo and black pudding. I have to cook it when my missus is out of the house so she doesn't see the components. It's very rich but well worth cooking it over about 5 hours.

For the non white pudding peeps...it's much blander than the black variety.

Black...my fav is Clonakilty, unavailable in the US(I think).

I can get a number of Irish imports where I live, but my preference is Tommy Maloney's, out of New York

Sadly - really found the puddings to be awful on my last trip over. When did the larger, soggy item get the nod? If you're ever in Liverpool, there is a restaurant called the Shiraz Palace at the top of Hanover St (near Lime St Sation), absolutely cracking breakfast for eleven quid - except that they too have fallen afoul of this substandard excuse for the glorious blood product.

From USA, don’t serve it here, had it on a visit to Dublin, meh…

Had fried blood in Ecuador, that was tasty

What is white pudding?! Having some convulsive responses and thoughts about head cheese…

Fried blood, now we're talking. Imagine the Ecuadorian one is similar to the Peruvian 'sangrecita'. Chicken blood fried up with onions, garlic, peppers, chillis and whatever you fancy. A great breakfast dish

Ah then, so it’s pretty inoffensive

Just looked up that in fact there are fried brain sandwiches in America’s Midwest:
