SAFCin peace seems like a reasonable bloke with well-balanced views, but sorry not having a supporter from another club start our match thread. We have feck all left without losing that.
So dodgy lineup, no JcS again! And Kaito on the bench along with Shephard. But no point starting a match thread and being negative. So with Clive's November optimism still ringing in my ears - 1-0 Smyth to score. Cmon you Rrrrŕrsss

Two points dropped today. Again.

Sunderland not nearly as expansive as I was imagining and nothing too much to be scared of.

I have no idea why he didn't throw another striker on when they went down to ten. Sunderland defended our approach play pretty well and then it was 3 against 1 or 4 against 2 when we did get the ball into the box.

Poor from Marti. Plenty of options to switch to 2 strikers.

Bad susbtitution as well when it came. Paul Smyth doing fine, getting down the line and getting one or two crosses in for ...... Lucas Andersen, two yards slower and unable to get further than the penalty area. Really poor substitution for that stage of the game. Should have been Lloyd, Bennie or Kolli, in that order.

I guess you'll never know since you're not watching TBH.

I've seen plenty this season...enough to make my mind up.

Frustrating for sure but positives to take and I’ve felt a lot worse walking out of LR.

Shocker from Bellingham but knew that that red card would stop any football we were playing . And with 10 mins to go you could see the belief drain away from the players that they actually might win. They run out of ideas.
Varane and Morgan very good. Red card changed Varanes game though and when we needed to move the ball quickly he struggled. Morgan got tired didn’t he and was trying too hard in the end .
But how refreshing is it to see a young player want the ball and then move it swiftly and successfully.
Putting a few to shame .
Can’t fault the desire . We can see they really wanted to win that game but we lacked any real threat.
That shot from Celar in the second half was so close .
But close ain’t good enough . Felt for him to be honest but it’s going to need some change around from here for him to be a success.
Little mention for Santos. Won every header and kept running beyond chair…just never received the bloody ball.

Much better I thought but bottom line is if you don’t score goals …then you are f*cked.

If you can't even be bothered to watch the games then what do you actually get out of supporting a club like Rangers !?

After 45 years following this club,...I don't have much choice about "supporting" them. That doesn't mean I have to watch every game though. Keeping up with goings on and off the pitch is enough for me nowadays. TBH even coming on here is just a habit. Is that alright with you?

Well better performance think we matched them even before the sending off. Good defensive performance. If only we could finish some of the chances created. Morgan did well but tired towards the end. As others have said with 10 mins to go you could see we were not going to get the goal. Am not sure Celar is really up to scratch hope I am wrong and it clicks for him. Given the absentees a point is a good one and very happy another clean sheet.

A word for the media team I put up a message on the big screen for my brother who passed away in April he was life long fan and i so miss him not sitting next to me at the ground.

They put it up twice once before the game and during half time..it was so nice to see his picture up there and his wife was there to see it.

RangersDave

'I thought we were crap, there, i'll say it! Crap.'

The second half performance was disappointing as we really didn't look like scoring a winner but overall if that performance was crap then keep that Sh1t coming!

Totally agree we had Field at CH, Ashby at RB, Varane best player out there, it felt like a real step forward. Too many doom mongers.

Saito replaced Smyth and went on the right
Ten minutes later Anderson replaced Madson, Chair went central and Saito went left

Fascinating reading through this thread and the TV view, from the ground performance best so far of the season, Celar better than previous game but not by much and many of the team dont trust him to pass so are looking for an alternative when an easier pass or he does make a run is on. Amazed he stayed on the full 90

Another good defensive performance but again so woeful in attack.

For half hour against 10 men, we couldn't even worry their Goalie let alone score. With the Plymouth match thats 90 mins now that we've played against 10 men and failed to score a goal.

Watching the match, for great periods, I thought it looked like a 60yrs old walking football match. We seem incapable of upping the tempo, being far happier to stop, wait, ponder then pass sideways. Sunderland were there for the taking - even with 11 men.

Some have said Celar had his best match for us. But in my mind he was still woeful. Twice I recall crosses coming in and Dunn agressivly attacked the ball to win the header with Celar showing no such determination, when he should have been the one going for the ball.

Seems we might have stopped the rot at the back but if we dont start scoring goals - and fast - we are not going to be winning any matches and the gap to safety will get further and further away.

Our major issue, a problem we have had for many years now, is a total lack of any real 'threat' once we get to the 18 yard box.

I doubt anyone has an issue with that - its the fact that you spread a whole lot of negativity based on nothing in particular which certainly irritates me consistently, as I suspect it does a number of other posters on here.

At least you've been honest enough today to admit that you don't really know what you're talking about, which is in itself some progress I suppose.
