Kyle Naughton 18:49 - Sep 5 with 3918 views | Dr_Winston | Mr. Dependable. 300+ appearances, few of them with a less than 7/10 performance yet still oddly underrated by many. One of the more successful bits of business during the post-Laudrup era. https://www.swanseacity.com/news/spotlight-kyle-naughton
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Kyle Naughton on 09:29 - Sep 15 by RichardO | Maybe it was the sign of a intelligent player protecting himself seen quite a few players ducking out of challenges but maybe not a trait you want to see in your players when it counts. We saw Paterson make some feisty challenges when he felt needed to up his game, looking for new contract? Willing to cut Naughton and other players some slack when we are winning, will give them more when we are winning comfortably. Naughton linked up the play on the left very well but he was helped by players making themselves available in the middle park a lot better than we have seen at times this season maybe Norwich over commit to a press with three players that we bypassed. |
Except it didn't happen anywhere other than in his imagination. Always been a bit of a weird one when it comes to KN has Sgorio.

We have all seen players trying to use the clever flicks to get out of contact that don't quite come off but then again sometimes they do.

Naughton contributes to that to be fair. He’s a bit like Allen in that he’ll always take up a good position to receive a pass, is comfortable receiving it under pressure and even if he’s just recycling possession, he’ll invariably tidy up a bit and the pass he’ll give will put the receiver in a more comfortable situation. The more of them we have doing that in midfield or from fullback, the more efficiently we’ll play.

Their first touch helps especially when it is the only touch needed.
Kyle Naughton on 08:33 - Sep 16 with 454 views | AnotherJohn | Some thought the most we could hope for from Kyle Naughton was to have a cheap backup for the occasional game, but actually he must be one of the first on the team sheet, even if the plan is that he'll come off after about 70 minutes. He is having a bit of a late Renaissance. For me he has starred in a couple of recent games.

Similar to Wayne Routledge in that he is a class performer. The retirement of Routledge was a turning point in the club. What a player he was. He was a lost soul before coming to Swansea where he found his football home. I wonder if there are other lost souls out there. Class performers that do not break the bank. Scrolling down the free agents Tyreece John Jules stands out. Graduate of Arsenal with a series of modest loans. He could be a lost soul like Routs or just not very good. I cut some slack for centre forwards as it is long hard furrow they till on their own.
| Wise sage since Toshack era |

Morning Res I’ve not been one of Kyle’s fans ,per se,and couldn’t see why he’s been given extended contracts . We could do better than him,However, he is an outstanding pro and always has been . He is very limited BUT ,at this level,he shows he is a class above many . He is a role model for young professionals for sure Pity,Oberfem didn’t learn from him

Can’t argue with this at all. There is a pretty strong correlation between the people who didn’t rate Routledge and the people who didn’t/don’t rate Naughton.
