It's no better in S.A. Road. I recall Amit saying that it's not the speakers, which would be a relatively easy fix, it's the wiring which is more difficult and much more expensive. Whatever: it's annoying, embarrassing and unprofessional.

Wiring my ass. If the wiring is to blame then just go and find out where the problem is and fix it. Been working with live PA systems and sound monitoring for over 30 years and the problem is easily fixed. Otherwise if its too hard task for someone who has two left hands then throw away the old one or sell it for few quids. Lots of professionals out there in the business to search who can do the job. They can afford that.
