I forget the schools history .
The chapel did I still in me self confidence for public speaking as excitation was a key component of a welsh Baptist upbringing and the reading of scriptures in a clear ,commanding tone ,not the mime Ed kids are cursed with now .
Same regards singing as most of us have had to sing in front of a congregation .
Personally,my old much missed ma,although a typical stay at home welsh mam,had a mezzo soprano voice that could shatter glass . Wasted talent really as she could and should have sung professionally but my ol man wanted her at home . Like many men if that era . | |
