New owners or investor on 23:58 - Mar 24 by max936 | "On the Swansea fan ownership I was on the money They wasted 6 years of all their time and £400,000 (40 years subscriptions at £10, 80 year subscriptions at £5). Of the 50,000 fans that follow Swansea city I was the only "fool" to point out the rank folly of their approach" I'll repeat this again but in big, hopefully you'll absorb it at last. YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY CLUELESS, as you're been told TIME and TIME AGAIN and facts are facts the TRUST were discluded from any discussions regards the sale of the Club to your yankee doodle mates, because your butties Jenkins and co clearly told them to not involve the Trust, The YANKS actually admitted that fact, WHY can't you see and acknowledge that? Your continual denial would make my blood boil if it wasn't so laughable, you lack total credibility for 99% of what you post. You can deny all you want, but you've a clear agenda that is devoid of any ACTUAL facts, Todays Trust have totally and disgracefully sold its members down the Tawe and out into the Bristol Channel, they'll never get a penny off me or any of my butties pennies. Trust was set up to create a fund that could help the club if ever the bad days arose again, it was never intended to be a fund that would put money into the club for its day today running, it was always to act as a safety net. Again you've been told this thousands of times, but because it doesn't suit your blind narrative you chose to ignore the actual facts. |
No one sells anything by sitting on the backside telling people they do not want to sell. It just the way it works. No one was going to force them to sell. Selling needs a willing buyer and a willing seller. The Trust management were unwilling and the democratically elected people representing the members. The Trust are now subject to two very serious anti value forces. Dilution and inflation. Inflation is at 10% and hanging around. Dilution on their share holding and inflation on their cash. Its a one way ticket to nowhere. "Trust was set up to create a fund that could help the club if ever the bad days arose again, it was never intended to be a fund that would put money into the club for its day today running, it was always to act as a safety net." They cannot deliver on this mission statement. They missed the boat because of a mentality that you and many other have. An entitlement mentality. Swansea City shares are super high risk and not protected by the FCA. Levien knows this. The $30m he has burned on Swansea city is not great but he looked chilled and dabber in his Swansea top the other day. He is not crying just putting in another $10m or so. Good for him.

They cannot deliver, because as, as been EXPLAINED to you countless times, but with your mentality you conveniently choose to ignore the plain FACTS How in loving f do you know what my mentality is? How do you think that I've an entitlement mentality ? another pointless point you make when you've got no idea except in your delusional mind. You are in a tiny minority with your opinions, they are not facts, because you haven't the ability to absorb they actual facts, cause you've been brain washed, by lies. Spot on. Never let facts get in the way of an agenda. As I have said before, someone so bitter must have been embarrassed by the trust.

Brainwashed by who?. No one has commented on the alternative arguments except me. I make my own conclusions and use my own brain to assess situations. I respect the Trust PR people who are excellent at creating loyalty to be fair. I note they paid for a PR firm listed one set of accounts. A heady mix of footy socialism and pseudo Christian rhetoric always goes down well in south Wales. The next saviours of Swansea if it happens will not want the Trust involved. More trouble than they are worth.

We did for one season I think maybe 2, but that would be two at most, this shower there now have tried to do it again, but these owners would never agree to it, rightly so cause this Trust board are beyond useless.

New owners or investor on 19:12 - Mar 24 by pete | I agree the recent times dont look good but for some one to insult people the way he did just got my goat up,people in the very early days worked their socks off and helped this club stay in bis. thats what i was getting at I joined but not renewed for the last 2 yrs to me the members were sold out that is another story we all have opinions which in the main i respect but the guy insulted a lot of people for no reason |
He continually insults people who disagree with him. His line is though, not to call them names, not to throw personal abuse because he knows what would happen. Instead he goes down the route of claiming Swansea fans generally are dim, thick and not as clever as himself. It's a tactic used by posters before him , he insults people without breaking the rules enough to draw the mods attention. I stopped reading his drivel, it's so boring it makes Macyntires the wheel look good. he makes eastenders look well written. Put on ignore is the best option.

If we're being honest, he's not a million miles wrong based on your first paragraph. About Swans fans in general being thick as opposed to him being smart. What he won't accept and never has is the simple reality that the sellouts did their utmost to f*ck the Trust over, because doing anything else would have resulted in far less money for them.

Have disagree. The Trust said they would never sell so no point involving them. Leaving aside the profits made we had to change the management model or we’d have been bankrupted.

Here we go again FME's they said that with regards that first lot who were chancers, they said that they would have to see what if any other offers came in as to whether any sale would have been good for SCFC, they never ever totally ruled out selling, absolutely not, they were deliberately kept in the dark until it was far to late about Kaplan and Levien's proposed deal.

The Trust is now in a real bad place and only have themselves to blame. The twin forces of dilution and inflation which did not exist in the Huw Jenkins era where inflation was 2% and there was no investment. 2015-2016 were the high point of the club and to many of us a slow steady decline was the most likely scenario. All the other owners saw it and acted to reduce their risk. . The Trust did not. It was a bad call. The members should carry on paying £5 a year if it makes them happy. It is however irrelevant to the football club without new thinking. Its capacity for harm massively over reaches its capacity for good.
