No one is claiming an offset, just pointing out that the unemployed contribute more to the exchequer than Amazon or Google if it comes to that.
Of course they do because benefits are in Billions. Their net cost is billions. So what’s your point? That people contributing nothing towards the country’s net economy are doing more than companies such as Amazon providing employment and a useful service to millions?
Of course Amazon should pay more, blame the HMRC.
