As we can see from the historical evidence you've provided Man Uniteds attendances drops from the fifties in the late 70s to low 40's in the mid-late eighties, then back up again, aside from a slight decline at the start of the Fergie era when they were protesting. thanks for proving me right. The point is that you had a small ground, the smallest in the top league, you had your best ever season, and yet even though Man Utd were getting more than 42,000 your club couldn't even fill their ground, and in fact was only around 88% full over the season
