The Trust Board is certainly nudging people to go to Court.

Vote (A) to take action because ... Explanation.

Vote B because ... no text at all.

Well we’re not nudging. We’re making a firm recommendation. On your specific point, option one is authorise legal action subject to costs arrangements being satisfactory. It’s a specific part of the consideration so it was important to highlight that. The second option is no change. Nothing happens so no further explanation needed. The detail of each is outlined fully in the accompanying paper.

Personally I need to work through the possible impacts on the club in the short / medium term. What will the owners do if they lose the case for example?

It's not just the 'owners', it's the sell outs as well. If they lose then they pay the Trust £20m. They pay out of their own pockets, not the clubs money. However, that £20m will essentially become club money, but owned by the Trust. It's a no brainer and a win win for the fans of our club after everything that has happened.

To do:

Finish boarding the loft
Box in pipework in small bedroom and paint
Remove fireplace in second bedroom, make good and finish alcove shelving
Decorating

Downstairs toilet carpeting in bedrooms to be done by experts 😁

Just working through the options, the legal process is fraught and any one of a range of judgements is possible.

They should have plenty, but it may be off shore.

Edit - if they lose they will have to pick up the Trust and their own legal bills then potentially face the sheriffs! That could make good TV.

So if thats cut to £48m, it won't make much difference to them. They can still have steak every day.

Exactly. There’s a hell of a lot of work gone into that by people who’ve given up their time without any financial reward and for the good of the club. Respect.

It's a very brave move at last, but ALL Trust members have to understand the implications if they vote option 2. The Trust essentially becomes a non entity. Be brave, be a fan of your club, and don't take what the Yanks and sell outs have done to you as a fan and Trust member. There is no going back from this. Remember, the sell outs do not recognise the monies that trust members put in to help save the club back in 2002 with no intention of any return. They've stomped all over every single one of us without a second thought, and sold out for personal gain without a care in the world for the club who they claimed to be life long fans of. But this is not about revenge, it's about justice, justice for us fans and the club we love.

Didn't you have to be a trust member a month or so ago to be eligible to vote?

The Trust got a fair bit of stick for that last time. I always thought that was to do with the nature of the recommendation rather than the principle of one, despite the protestations of some, so it'll be interesting to see.

Anyway, I think it's only right the Board made a recommendation. It's what we're elected to do and many members would expect/demand it.

Aye, I lapsed my Trust membership after that. As to your nature v principle comment ...absolute horseshît!

You legal advice said you had a strong case and the previous divisiveness of the owners made it no other option but legal.

I hope that those, that now, have a chance to vote choose to go on the offensive thus enabling me to feel that rejoining is a necessity and not a supine position.
