Going early. Hopefully none of you going tonight will need to go early...

Too many losses on the trot and too much standing off the oppo in our home games make me think this may be another hard, hard night.

If we carry on the second half v Brum and how we played in the Cup, we have a chance, but if it is a timid start like Brum, Preston or most games at home since Christmas, we will get stuffed.

Luck needs to turn and surely we'll put a winning performance in soon, but I fear not tonight.

Not a bad game. WBA showing why they're leading scorers in the division, and also maybe why their defence is a bit dodgy. If we stay tight at the back could be something in this for us.

Fair play rangers for making a go of it after going a goal behind so early on. I feared they’d fold given the last week or so but good to see them continuing to fight.

WBA look threatening every time they get forward mind you and it’s going to be another tough half.

We do look dodgy at the back. Our defensive solidity of two months ago is long gone. Way too much space for them. We look decent going forwards though, but it's all too much of a gamble. Hopefully it pays off!

Yeah. It's asking a lot of our back three, who, Furlong aside are not the fastest. Still go to a four and we lose our forward movement. Damned if we do, damned if we don't really. There's acres of space on our left though, Bidwell – bless his cotton socks – is never wing-back I'm afraid.

We are knocking the ball around well enough but Montero and Murphy seem like they are constantly going to find space down the wings


It tends to be what happens if you play 3 at the back or 3 in midfield. The better teams don't take long to work it out and give it to the wide men. Just goes to show that, whatever formation you use, there are strengths and weaknesses.

Both the WBA wingers are quick. Our full backs aren't as quick as them.
