"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."

Watched the Roadhouse remake on Prime. Total garbage. Whoever sanctioned that wants shooting.

Connor McGreagor's acting makes Vinnie Jones look like Anthony Hopkins. Shyte!

Two of my favourites
The Great Santini - Robert Duvall at his very best
Breaking Away - Directed by Peter Yates

You can watch the film "Our Alexandria". Our Alexandria" offers a poignant exploration of love, loss, and the resilience of the human spirit amidst societal upheaval. Through its richly drawn characters and captivating storytelling, the film provides a deeply moving and thought-provoking cinematic experience. If you have Netflix, put an evening aside to watch Under Paris. The setup is this:
Summer 2024. Paris is hosting the World Triathlon Championships on the Seine for the first time. Sophia, a brilliant scientist, learns from Mika, a young environmental activist, that a large shark is swimming deep in the river. To avoid a bloodbath at the heart of the city, they have no choice but to join forces with Adil, the Seine river police commander.

It's as bananas as you'd expect - a pure popcorn movie that builds to a comically gory 3rd act.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

But, as someone on Twitter pointed out, missed a huge open goal by not calling it 'Shark de Triomphe'

A currently apt film (well it was on Friday) The Longest Day. Richard Todd who took Pegasus Bridge in the film was actually part of the real life force that took the bridge in 1944.

As we are on a war footing, national service and three days supplies, another film I can return to is the 1992 German made Stalingrad. Filmed by the same people who made Das Boot.

For about the 112th time, I watched The Usual Suspects last night.

Why should you watch it? I doubt there are many on here who haven’t seen it anyway, but here goes - the amount of time you spend afterwards trying to figure it all out - what was true, what wasn’t, who was real, who wasnt?

It takes my breath away every time.
