Genuine question - from a Trust Member on 22:46 - Nov 10 with 1914 views | pembsjack | That statement is proof why the trust is now a pointless idealistic farce. Its sad to see the way its slipped to insignificance, but its quite clear they are unable to be our voice at the club anymore.

Surely someone must have said 'this statement will not go down well, we may have to put something a bit stronger out '

I would like to think it's fair to say that there are members of the Trust board who are far from happy with that statement. It's time for those that are happy with this approach to stick their head above the parapet and make themselves known.
Genuine question - from a Trust Member on 22:55 - Nov 10 with 1795 views | skacrazy | F4ck that's made me angry. Are we being told off? The trust need to understand they represent the fans and start leading from the front. WTF exactly are they there for. I will not renew my membership until they do and I urge everyone else to do the same so they f4cking realise that they are letting us down when we need them the most.

Here's the email I've received (extract) : News from the Trust Thanks for renewing your Swans Trust Membership Dear Huw First and foremost thank you for renewing your Swans Trust membership for 2017/18. As we highlighted in our letter to members in August the landscape of the Club has certainly changed considerably over the last couple of years. However you can be assured we will do all we can to ensure that the supporters’ voice continues to be heard at the heart of the Swans. Perhaps the most significant aspect of that is the regular dialogue we have with key figures at the Club. We have direct contact with the majority shareholders in America and frequent formal and informal meetings are held with key personnel based in Swansea, including the Club’s Chief Operating Officer, Chris Pearlman. All this allows us to keep closely in touch with day to day activities, the value of which cannot be underestimated. These are certainly challenging times for the Club and for the Trust and your continued support is appreciated. Best wishes The Swans Trust Team Statement from the Swansea City Supporters Trust The Supporters Trust board has discussed a number of concerns raised by members in recent weeks and has prepared the following statement which we wished to share with you before wider circulation in the next day or so. 'The Swansea City Supporters Trust recognises the concerns that many of our members have raised in relation to various aspects of the playing side of the football club. Many of these concerns are shared by the Supporters Trust board and have been formally raised with the majority owners. We are currently in discussions with the majority owners to determine the best way to proceed to resolve those issues and will inform our members of the progress made in the coming days and weeks. The Supporters Trust firmly believes that the fans have every right to make their views known with regards to all aspects of the running of the football club, and members of the Supporters Trust board engaged in conversation with those taking part in the recent protest before the Brighton game to discuss their grievances. However, whatever the grievances, the Supporters Trust also urges all fans to support the players during the game rather than singling out individuals for criticism. As our members know, we conducted a Members Consultation during the summer, which resulted in our members accepting an offer to sell up to half our shareholding in the football club. Since then, the respective legal teams have been engaged to complete this process. These discussions are ongoing, however we believe they should be concluded in the next few weeks. As stated during the consultation process, if any elements of the deal are not as originally presented to our members, we will perform a further consultation process with full disclosure to our members before agreeing any deal.'

Precisely. Ux makes it clear he’s not happy with the communication, and how things should be played out more publicly, especially during times like this. If any of you feel that strongly, stand down now and tell us what the f*ck is happening. Absolutely ashamed of you all.

Genuine question - from a Trust Member on 23:00 - Nov 10 with 1724 views | TheResurrection | How do we get shot of them? Is there an official process? They have no shame in continuing in post. I'm sorry but this just leaves people thinking very cynically about the people involved, what they knew when the Americans got on board, how much did they know about Cooze and does Jenkins and Co have something hanging over them? The way they covered up the Trust Director's remuneration with some sham new guidance on conflicts of interest and the way they've disappeared from sight, something's not right. There's something up but this is the danger in having the same people on board for all that time. They can get away with whatever they like, they know they'll be voted on every single time. It's so frustrating.
