FA Youth Cup 18:03 - Nov 2 with 2075 views | joecooke | Rochdale went out in the first round against Accrington Stanley 1-0,thought we would have done quite well this year with a couple of players having had first team experience.

FA Youth Cup on 10:09 - Nov 3 with 1955 views | calvinw123 | The u18s had beaten Accrington Stanley 5-2 a fortnight before so Accie set up differently this time. They played five at the bank to reduce the impact of Rochdale's fast forwards and played on the counter attack. Unfortunately Accie scored in the first five minutes (the ball falling to an Accie player after hitting the crossbar) and despite dominating the game for much of the 90 minutes, Rochdale couldn't break them down. It was a frustrating night as Rochdale are top of the North West Youth Alliance League and Accrington Stanley are mid-table but the u18s will need to learn to adapt to teams who play them on the counter.

Thanks for the report, it gives us all some perspective on the youth team Were Hill and/or Coleman watching?
