Nearly all of his Bond films were terrible. The Spy Who Loved me and For Your Eyes Only aside.
He was much better in non-Bond films like North Sea Hijack and Wild Geese.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
More wooden than a Viking longship on screen, but apparently a very nice man off it, and always exhibited a nice self-deprecating sense of humour. Top bloke.
RIP Roger..a gentleman that hated guns, which is quite ironic. Am loving the Bond films currently being shown on Sunday afternoons on ITV. Couldn't have been that bad an actor if he was accepted by RADA, even though he was only there for 2 terms. Sean C's portrayal was closer to the the Fleming character, but nevertheless Roger's films were so very entertaining and an integral part of my childhood.

He was so much more than James Bond. To typecast him would be unfair......now then can anyone remember a film he was in where right at then end he shouts "BASTARDS!!" when his wife gets bumped off by a sniper at a funeral?
