Huw Jenkins ready to 'clear the air' with fans 13:19 - Apr 22 with 30904 viewsLandore_Jack

It comes against a back-drop of supporter anger and frustration at the team's fortunes on and off the field.

“Small town politics” is a nonsense line. Anyone with half a brain can see how they lost the plot and oversaw the demise of a mid table premier league team to a bottom half championship club.

It was always difficult to maintain a club of our size in Premier League. Our current status is probably a fair reflection on the size of our club. We just got to appreciate those glory years, it's a fair chance this won't happen again for another 30/40 plus years.

I was all for the appointment of Russell Martin and thought the yanks were finally trying to get on the right path, but at the moment the gamble looks like a failure. For me, If the yanks keep us out of debt, I'm happy.

The old owners who sold are just human and could see there lottery tickets evaporating and were desperate to cash in before it was too late. I bet 99% of us in that situation would have done the same. Greed would have got the better for us, its alright spouting from our keyboards like angels.

Very fair.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

IMO an accurate assessment.

Huw Jenkins ready to 'clear the air' with fans on 10:24 - Feb 26 with 1009 viewsDr_Winston

The biggest problem about our demise from the Premier League is how self-inflicted it was. We didn't have to appoint Garry Monk. We didn't have to tear up the playing style that got us there and made us so successful. We didn't have to abandon smart player recruitment practices and start throwing money at agents.

We did them all anyway.

Yes, relegation at some point was probably inevitable for a club of our size, but we could have been relegated without having to press the financial reset button. We could have been relegated without having to completely rebuild our way of playing. Instead we did things the same way as every other dumbarse club.

One man oversaw that, and one man will have to live with the consequences of his actions.

Disagree, selling wasn't the issue, it was the way it was done, sneakily and underhand. Don't forget the club had already made the sellers very wealthy and that wasn't at risk for them.

So the sellers acted in an underhand way concerning the Trust, who have acted in an underhand way concerning its members. With hindsight you can start to see why the original decisions were made.

You call it 'sneaky and underhand'. I call it sensible and logical. As you have seen over the last few days the Trust cannot deliver. It has spent SIX YEARS making big promises and getting 2.3% of them. In effect nowhere.

"We are not selling" they declared forcibly in 2015. A crazy mistake. The chased away US cash in 2015 proudly bragging of their rigorous "due diligence ". Due diligence would have been finding out if the members wanted to sell with buyers in the wings and the other shareholders interested in selling.

It was wise not to include them in early talks. Once a deal was brokered they were asked if their shares were up for sale. The US people got no answer. Their position was well known. If they wanted to sell they had to say yes. They said 'we will consider any offers'.

They got none. US people and the sellers cannot hang about waiting years.. The sale was SIX YEARS AGO. No one in his right mind would invite them along and work at their pace.

I am not an insider. When people in the club say "Trust" I expect they roll their eyes and are told to say nothing. Swansea folk need to show deference to the 1200 (now 800) Committee people. We do not in Resolven. Their performance has been dreadful frorm 2104 onward.

You would call it that. Totally and utterly warped.

Even the sellouts themselves settled out of court. They have admitted guilt.

And the only reason they've got away this lightly is because they and the Americans have more money.

Resloven can't realise how ridiculous that sounds.

The trust contacted the selling shareholders as soon as they heard of the sale saying they wanted to be involved and wouldn't consider selling shares.

They were largely ignored.

Not a bean.

You were probably telling me of the strong case and the very high probability of £21m going into the Trusts funds and the US guys going after the sellers.

They ended up getting 2.3% of that. The people you were supporting were useless and led you up the garden path. I warned you of this 4 years ago.

If the Loan note is converted the Total contribution of the Trust to the club in investment is a modest 3.4% of the total.

The key performance indicators are 2.3% and 3.4%. Bottom of the class. Hopefully this is a new dawn of a very grim 6 years for them.

Most people have always disagreed with me. They also thought £21m was coming their way, They were as green as grass,
