Johnny Was 19:54 - May 14 with 2903 views | satrdayboy | I do like the drum intro at the start of the second half. But as its the last home game of the season it would be nice to here a bit more of this SLF classic

Gigs were like being caught in rolling thunder. Straw dogs, Tin soldiers, running bear are just a few of my favourites, as well as the ones mentioned. You can't say crap on the radio always makes me giggle about what's allowed now!

Johnny Was on 09:35 - May 15 with 2496 views | taffpunk | The debut album still sounds class today, though I tend to give their gigs a miss these days. I saw them for the first time supporting TRB at Cardiff Top Rank in 1978. That was a real eye-opener for a 16 year old Punk Rocker from the Valleys, blokes holding hands and Tom singing about being 'glad to be gay', didn't happen in the Rhondda mun. A great night, both bands were excellent, and we certainly had a lot to talk about on the mini-bus home!
