Not an improvement at all on Perch I'm afraid. He is a very poor defender and imo responsible for the 2nd & 3rd goals due to his really sloppy feeble clearances.
I would sooner my Mum played right back than Perch. I think Ned played well actually and was a big improvement on Perch. However Ramsay still will not drop Rob Green who had a mare for their second goal. So maybe we have to wait for the penny to drop slowly with Chris and he gradually gets round to sorting out Green and Henry.
Sorry to say but Onuoha hasn't convinced me at all he's a very good defender. Giving him the captaincy was a strange decision too. 2-0 down he should be encouraging some fight and spirit, not waking around feeling sorry for himself.
It's no coincidence his best form has been alongside Hill and Dunne 2 natural leaders. He's a confidence player so giving him the captaincy was not the solution. The captain needs to lead by example if not vocal and he does neither. I've stuck up for Nedum before however he's now one of the senior players so needs to shrug off the worrying confidence lapses and get stuck in to regaining his form. The captaincy looks to be weighing him down.
