Has anyone, in any of the leagues, been so consistently and predictably f--king woeful in cup competitions over such a long time? The last time I can remember us even getting past a couple of rounds in any cup was in 199-f--king-5 (when we got battered by United, but at least we got to abuse Ince long and loudly).

The comments they make are annoying. But seriously, what are they supposed to say when reporters asked how they feel about the result? That they plan on continuing this at the weekend?
This is just a result of the overexposure in the media, the need to fill column inches every day and the increasingly meaningless questions which get asked. Don't want an obvious answer? Don't ask an obvious question.
