"Assistant Manager Chris Beech commented: “I know the supporters didn’t get to see too much of Sean on a Saturday [while he was onloan], but Sean comes from a great stock of pedigree after being at Manchester United from the age of 14.

“He has impressed us in the way that he went about his training, he impressed us in how he went about supporting the squad on matchdays, whether he was getting changed or not.

“He’s got a very good left foot, he’s of good stature, he’s of good size, he’s still got lots of potential, so it fits us. I’m looking forward to seeing how he goes about pre-season and the way that he’ll step onto that
good work that he did during his loan period.”

Certainly sounds like one for the future who can add some depth to the squad.

Will have a chance to make a name for himself if we fail to land Jack O'Connell on loan again.

All I've seen of him was the last 10 minutes at Bristol Rovers, but the management must have some confidence in him to put him on in such a vital game with the result in the balance.

At only 20 years of age, 6ft 3", Republic of Ireland International, Man U having forked out £1 million in the past for him...that'll do for me Tommy.

Plenty of youthful promise, and again, potential value added.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.

Happy with this. Left footed centre back is just what we needed.

Welcome Sean.

Matty to sign now and that would be a great week of business!

Assume this means Jack won't be returning then?

Poll: So who do you believe - Hendo or the Board?

Sadly that's how it looks, though I doubt Hilly will give up trying.

tbh though I'd rather have our own squad developing together and under contract. If we had the wherewithal to sign someone like O'Connell permanently it'd mean we were in a different financial league.

You never know though, it might just be the making of McGinty. With Muldoon signing too, that's enough of an Oirish flavour to the squad!

Says on OS that he was at Manure from age 14 so doubt they have paid money for him.

Not that well thought of at Sheff Utd according to a blades fan I know.
But he is still very young and we know players sometimes fit right in at a club that suits , everything feels right and they progress beyond all expectations.
Lets hope he does and shows them what they lost.

They paid money to sign him from Charlton.

Fairly happy with this - had a bit of trouble in his past but seems to be a good professional now by the sounds of it, and I like the part about being supportive of his teammates - good egg.
