It would seem that Blackburn Rovers' boss, Steve Kean, wants to make Russell Martin his first signing.
The right back was Paul Lambert's first signing as Norwich boss, and Barry Fry allowed Martin to leave rather easily, compared to how Fry can be.
A somewhat controversial right back, he clearly fills the role Paul Lambert has laid out for him, but City supporters are still divided over the player.
It has been a difficult time filling that position, ever since Marc Edworthy mysteriously disappeared, so it will take silly money to pry Paul Lambert's fingers open enough to let go the only right back in his tool kit.
Perhaps if Blackburn paid off the City debt, then possibly...
