Norwich City central defender, Leon Barnett was sent of, recently, in the match againts Portsmouth after it was deemed that he deliberately brought down David Nugent.
In frustration, Barnet threw the ball at referee, Simon Hooper, asBarnett was shown the red card.
Immediately after the game Barnett apologised to Hooper and manager Paul Lambert for his rash action.
This did nothing to prevent a report for misconduct being made to the FA, for which Barnet was given a personal hearing today at the FA.
In addition to the one match suspension that Barnett received for the sending off, a Regulatory Commission today decided to prolong Barnett's suspension by two matches, to be served with immediate effect.
This mean that the new January signing will sit out the Boxing Day fixture away to Crystal Palace, and the home fixture against Sheffield United on December 28th.
