The 2024 relegation thread-oh: Week 38 10:27 - Mar 12 with 6680 views | Bluce_Ree | It's crunch time.... in my PANTS! In terms of the teams we can catch this week, the table looks like this. Plymouth - 41 LWLLD Blackburn - 41 DDLDD Stoke - 41 LLWLW QPR - 39 WWWDL Birmingham - 39 WLLDL ----- Huddersfield - 38 LWDLL Sheff Weds - 38 WWWWL Rotherham - Dead LLLLL Tonight Birmingham vs Boro - Boro on the back of two wins, Brum no win in 4. Hopeful. Saturday Birmingham vs Watford - Watford in shit form, hoping Brum are knackered by the weekend. Worried. Ipswich vs Sheff Weds - Ipswich in third and looking to rectify a loss last game. Hopeful. Boro vs Blackburn - not arsed. I feel like Blackburn will escape but they are in shit form. Hopeful. Plymouth vs Preston - Plymouth in bad form. Hopeful. Rotherham vs Huddersfield - most worried about this one . Hudds to win. That said, at least they've stopped that freaky voodoo bullshit where they win when we win. Worried. Stoke vs Norwich - pretty hopeful but Stoke have two wins in three. Hopeful. Sunderland vs QPR - five losses in a row but the Boil c*nt has gone. Charity Park Rangers to the rescue? Long trip to the shitty North East? Smells like defeat. But equally we are the finest football team etc etc. Worried.

The 2024 relegation thread-oh: Week 38 on 10:32 - Mar 12 with 4954 views | Bluce_Ree | You've got to hope that Brum are demoralised but it is a derby. If they can't pick themselves up for it then they are doomed. But equally that means WBA will be up for it too. But equally all logic goes out of the window and is replaced with PISS. EDIT: the F*CK am I talking about. Sorry. Wrong team, wrong brain, wrong Bluce. [Post edited 12 Mar 14:47]

The 2024 relegation thread-oh: Week 38 on 11:06 - Mar 12 with 4808 views | daveB | Not that it matters too much but on paper Blackburn have a horrific run in They have to play Ipswich, Southampton, Leeds, Coventry and finish away at Leicester We could do with Rotherham winning a few games as well against teams around us
The 2024 relegation thread-oh: Week 38 on 11:16 - Mar 12 with 4771 views | Hoopsie | 9 games to go Are 3 wins and 3 draws enough to stay up? That’s 12 points. We will be on 51. Enough? The last 10 games: Plymouth 3-2-5 Blackburn 1-6-3 Stoke 3-0-7 QPR 5-3-2 Birmingham 3-2-5 ————————— Huddersfield 3-3-4 Sheffield Wed 5-1-4 Rotherham 0-1-9 Average points over last 10 games is 14.17 for all 24 teams Average points of the 8 teams last 10 games is 10.625 - 18, 16, 12, 11, 11, 9, 9, 1 (QPR got 18) Think 15 points to be really safe. Doable? That’s 5 wins. Or 4 wins 3 draws. Or 3 wins 6 draws? If we can keep our points over last 10 games, that’s 16.2 points for the 9 games, which required us to perform at the same level achieving similar results. Tall order? I think that’s doable. We are on a consistent trajectory even we lose the next 2 to go on a cyclical dip in form then an upturn that’s going to be 4 wins and 2 draws in the last 7 games; about 14 points, close to the target 15 projected. Obviously all these numbers are moot as we are QPR, but I am quietly and humbly optimistic. [Post edited 12 Mar 11:21]

I think if we win 4 of the last 9 games we should be OK but will be close, quicker those 4 wins come the better | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Don't be daft Dave. It's QPR. We'll go into a tail spin and then win the last 4 with the goal that saves us coming off Taylor Richards's ear as he is brought on as a last minute sub because we have to play him for 60 seconds to avoid having to pay him more next season.

The 2024 relegation thread-oh: Week 38 on 12:00 - Mar 12 with 4596 views | BAWHoops | Some of these teams may have had their peak. Huddersfield in average form and who knows, maybe they don't get it back. Blackburn are in awful form and have to play all of the top 4 still. Potentially one to watch as they look a lot like we did last season, but with a far harder run in. Plymouth also on a downward trajectory. If you were a neutral you'd probably say QPR will squeak it and so will Sheff Weds, whilst two of Brum, Blackburn and Plymouth will go. However we know that's not how football works

This post on 82 minutes from the BBC made me chuckle: "We're approaching the witching hour now (in footballing terms, anyway) and Birmingham have just shaken the dice for the final time and come up with Tyler Roberts, who's on for Alex Pritchard." I then got nervous when they followed up with this: "Roberts hasn't yet found the net for the Blues - now would certainly be a good time to change that if they're going to get anything from this game." Thankfully it didn't happen. Fingers crossed 'Boro have something in the tank for their next fixture, Blackburn at home.
