I see trains aren't running on the 29th to Ipswich? what is the best way to travel there from W London does anyone know?

There's a bus replacement service for some of the journey so either use that or you're going to need to find a lift or a coach ticket.

It’s buses between Witham and billericay in both directions that adds about 1 hour to the journey each way.
Welcome to the 21st century world of Greater Anglia.And probably most train lines over Christmas and the new year.
The last train back again leaves Ipswich at 22.43 I think.

There used to be a coach that ran from Stansted to Ipswich.

No idea if that's a viable solution given all the Christmas engineering work going on.

Greater Anglia services from Liverpool Street to Stansted are running that day, just checked.

And National Express do operate a route to Ipswich from there.

Checked again; going that way is fine but National Express don't have a bus going back to Stansted until 3AM.
