Received a speeding ticket from France this week. Any loopholes to avoid paying the French Police fine?

You can ignore it - as long as you never plan to drive in France again!

There has been a recipricol agreement between the uk and europe for a couple of years now. Best to pay, otherwise it could get 'ugly'. It will be chased up by enforcement agents employed in this country.
I go to France quite often and partially cover my plates as they have as many cameras as the UK and theirs are far more sneaky. Barstewards !!

Just ignore it and take your inevitable arrest, extradition and execution like a man.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

IF it was a hire car expect to have to pay the fine AND a charge from the hire car company ... sadly that is based on experience

It wasn't hire car or on the motorway. It was on a "D" road near Le Mans .

Apparently the French use collection agencies in the UK to collect fines if unpaid so looks like i'm stuffed on this.

Can you explain this one to me?

I was flashed in a hire car a fortnight back so I’m expecting something through. Mind you it’s got to go from authorities to rental company to travel agent before it gets to me and that could take ages (and therefore be deemed as ignorance of the fine).

As long as they serve the NIP on the registered keeper within the correct period it doesn’t matter how long it takes to get to your door. The 6 month period of limitations starts when you receive it.

Life is an adventure or nothing at all.
