What fans hounded him out? You mean Les Ferdinand did. Every fan I knew was up for Warnock till the end of the season at least. That month when Warnock was in charge last year was the only month when i thought our defence had some sort of togetherness and unity to it. Remember he restored Clint Hill to the team and we kept a few clean sheets against Leeds and Reading. He's done a similar thing now with a Cardiff team who were conceding bucket load of goals by bringing in Sol Bamba and they look like they could kick on now and most probably stay up. End of the day Les joined in February 2015 I believe and we've sunk since, the majority of the signings since his tenure have been dreadful IMO bar a few like Hall and Smithies (and no I'm not going to say Chery the guys vastly overrated). Never was a fan of DOF, look at Joe Kinnear when he went back to Newcastle and Sven Gordan Eriksson, it was a shambles. We're going to be next on the list. |

Funnily enough I know the guy too aswell as Ewan. This photo was taken today at the metropol hotel in Brighton where we all live and where Cardiff are staying. Everything he's said is true. He said he would have stayed on if it weren't for Les as he forced him out of the club and that he told Fernandes he'd happily come back if it weren't for Les being at the club. He also said the year we went up was the greatest year as a football manager and that he will always loves QPR. To be fair all of what I've just said is common sense to most QPR fans I should think and we already know but just don't go accusing Ewan of lying, and get it inside your heads that ever since Les has been at this football club we have been on a downward spiral. This is all just starting to bore me now. Half the Premier League seem to be 'interested' but we never seem to receive any concrete offers. Wouldn't accept anything below 15 million for sure. If Wilfried Bony is worth 28 million then Charlie is at least worth 20 mil but obviously with the contract situation that lowers his value. 15 million in today's football climate seems reasonable for an 18 goal Premier League striker so they should pay up if they want his services. But I am resigned to losing him, he's given us some incredible memories but we have to respect his needs and move on and re-invest the money in another top quality striker. Pre-seasons not far away so Charlie's future has to be sorted by then really. |

The fact of the matter is, Ravel Morrison wasn't a moments trouble with us and would be a tremendous signing, a massive coup. It is no surprise that prestigious clubs like Lazio want him because he has all the ability in the world, he just needs to apply himself better and concentrate on his football. If anyone went to Birmingham away in the 13/14 season, they would have saw Ravel at his best, I saw an absolute masterclass of a performance and he was unplayable that day, won that game on his own, while remaining consistent throughout the rest of that campaign. Under the guidance of Les and Chris it is a no brainer, they would sort him out. Still young, and is a player that has that wow factor and can change a game in a split second with a moment of magic, also if we pull it off then I think it will be a free transfer as his pre-contract to Lazio would be scrapped meaning no fee is required. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is a bit of an enigma could be a shrewd signing, powerful attacking midfielder, two good feet, who has all the ability in the world, its up to him. Wenger did the right thing getting him out of London, for the best of his career. Mick McCarthy described his move to Bristol City in League 1 as "scary" due to his undoubted potential. As others have said, I think he has matured since a few years back - I have heard he was as good as gold at Bristol and have only heard rave reviews of him and I think a move back to London would do him good, especially under the guidance of Les and Ramsey who I think could sort him out. Really hope this rumour develops. |

Yep I've just watched the interview, seems really keen to play for QPR, see's us a step up, I am now really looking forward to seeing Luongo this season as I at first had problems with is attitude but as others have said, could be the new Taarabt.
Looking forward to the new QPR side that will be built under Ramsey and Les, hopefully we will have 11 Jamie Mackies next season and the players will wear their heart on their sleeve. I really think this is the first time we will get a QPR side to love and remember since the famous 2010/11 season under Warnock.
I don't know whats happening with Gladwin but I am sure an announcement on him is imminent, really looking forward to him too, great long-term signings for the club, made his way up from non-league.

No one understands how long I've waited for this, that's got to about 200k off the wage bill and we won't have to suffer seeing a 35 year old Bobby Zamora as our leading striker next season, don't think I could have mentally handled it.

Oh really I wasn't aware of that, I am surprised as Kane was doing really well at Forest. And yeah you make some good points but I think McEachran would love to join us permanently, we would be the right place for him to develop under Ramsey and he would relish first-team football, he's said thats all he wants, to play football. But anyway looks like we have signed Luongo and Gladwin, and I will back them all the way along with Ramsey who I am also sceptical about. Just got to get behind the players and manager this season no matter who we sign. I am really looking forward to Gladwin, get to see him play and see what he's about, looks an exciting prospect from non-league which is always nice. Luongo bit of a luxury player but I hope he succeeds here, could be the new Taarabt. |

Yes but Kane he is under contract, McEachran has 1 year left plus I would suspect the Chelsea staff would want the best for his career. If not, what about a loan? Or in exchange for Greeno as mentioned. He is hardly a billy big b*llocks either, he is actually a modest character if you do some research, just too much hype too early when he played in the Champions League aged 17, he can still resurrect his career at the right club, I am sure Ramsey would work well with him and do him good. |

Yep I suppose it is for both players, but I still think it's a little bit excessive. I'm leaning more towards Gladwin, sounds like a raw talent. Luongo isn't really the right sort in my book.
Nahki Wells and Callum Wilson came from League 1 where they were banging in the goals,
plus his heroics in their cup run, I would actually love for us to go in for Wells this summer actually, pacy forward who has composure in front of goal.
We need players that see us as a step up, not a step down and wear their hear on their sleeve, I do agree. [Post edited 27 May 2015 12:23]

The Swindon fans seemed to think Yaser Kasim was the better of the 3. They told me how Gladwin is versatile and can be deployed out wide but predominantly is a central midfielder.Can also run at plays too apparently. I know all about Luongo so didn't really need much of an explanation but they said he holds tremendous ability but can totally capitulate when the team isn't playing well, like at Wembley on Sunday.
And are you serious mate?! Josh McEachran no experience?! Had a full season at Middlesbrough in the Championship were he amassed over 40 matches I think. Also had spells in the Championship with Watford, Swansea and Wigan in the championship where at the latter I thought he looked superb when Wigan came down to Loftus Road in the 2013/14 season. Has also played in the Dutch top flight last season for Vitesse where he played a good amount of games while also playing around 10 times for Chelsea in the premier league. In regards to his price I don't think Mourinho would command a big price considering it doesn't look like he will make the breakthrough there especially as players like Loftus-Cheek and Chalobah are now ahead of him in the pecking order their. I really hope we make a move for him to be honest mate. |

Oh yeah don't get me wrong, these players would be a step in the right direction. But have we got as much money to spend than when we were last in the Championship?
They would be a breath of fresh air compared to Gary O'Neil and the overpaid mercenaries like Sandro who we only spent 10 million quid on... It would be a much smarter long term investment, it's just the price that does it for me, got to be sensible if we are about to be hit for 58 million in FFP. I tell you what if that's all proven false, il endorse this move.
I love a gamble from the lower leagues, I am huge admirers of players like Ivan Toney and Ryan Woods in the lower leagues and I would be over the moon if they came to Loftus Road and in fairness I would take Luongo too but I just think we should go for someone with a bit more experience like Josh McEachran from Chelsea, who is the same age, has experience in the championship, abroad and in the premier league for Chelsea, superb box to box midfielder, can sit, but is also influential in the final third, in his last year of his contract there and wants first team football and would be available on the cheap. There is other examples too but I suppose what I am saying is that we should take educated gambles that would be available for a reasonable price. [Post edited 27 May 2015 11:15]

I'm gonna have to break the positivity here I am afraid and say I am not impressed at all, mainly because of the ridiculous money being mentioned at 4 million which would be ludicrous. I have seen Luongo play a number of times and he has great technical ability and has a great skillset, but he is often inconsistent and can be a passenger at times, when the going gets tough, he's a bit of a lightweight too but he can be very influential in games. I would not pay anything more than a million for someone like Luongo, especially as he has no experience at playing championship football other than a minor loan spell at Ipswich which in my opinion is a different ball game to league 1, I also spoke to a few Swindon fans on twitter etc and they seemed to biting my hand off at the price being mentioned.
I don't know too much about Gladwin but I know he has played for a host of non-league clubs which I respect and had a good season, a successful goalscoring season too from midfield where he got 8 goals and I've been told he has a hell of a shot on him too but once again he would be a gamble at Championship level and wouldn't pay over a million for him either especially as he has not had over one year of experience in the Football League.
I don't think we are gonna have as much money to spend as we did last time we were here so to spend probably half on it on these two players would not be wise especially as we are gonna need to invest heavily in two quality strikers at least. [Post edited 27 May 2015 10:48]

Let me remind you Beckford has scored 18 goals in 22 starts for Preston in League 1 this season. Any striker that has that sort of record in League 1 is going to be in demand from higher divisions. He is rejuvenated player that has Premier League and Championship experience. More importantly he still has pace to burn and would be an asset to any Championship club, especially on a free. I guarantee you what ever Championship club he joins, which will probably be Preston or a return to Leeds, he will score at least 15 goals. Mark my words. |
