I’m just glad to see North fulfilling the stereotype of the a middle aged man paying for content that is otherwise widely available free online….

Or Nourry disappearing and reappearing in ever more unbelievable disguises.

Indeed, would imagine it’s a pretty simple case that the employees need to make a living from it and QPR stories and match reports probably don’t even cover the costs of creating them.

I mean you’re right of course that Cifuentes isn’t going to add anything to the event in terms of cogent input, but at the same time QPR is a club who are historically shit at PR and the fans forum is a pretty simple layup for the club to wheel out the manager, have him take some soft ball questions, tell a story or two to the fans and a couple of throwaway ‘I shouldn’t tell you this but…’ anecdotes.

It also stops people asking the awkward and pertinent question of why the clubs CEO doesn’t want the wildly popular manager to be front and centre soaking up a bit of adoration for an hour or so.

I mean I wouldn’t complain about him wheeling out Betsy to show off his spinning plates technique, Sparkes to do some yo-yo tricks and then Sam Field to play us out with a Harpsichord solo..

Anything to avoid anyone asking how a 25 year old recruitment consultant got the CEO job at a football club…

Nourry was a recruitment consultant when he talked his way into QPRz

He’s going to be absolutely fine…

He was on Onouha’s podcast years back taking about it - he went up to Villa to meet Tiger Timmy Sherwood and agreed a deal with them. On the drive back with his agent they got a call from Sherwood and Ferdinand’s shared agent saying QPR would beat any Villa offer.

I meant more in the sense that JET was going to Villa until Ferdinand swooped in at the last second and outbid them to get him.

I always think these ‘early’ round Carling Cup games against Prem opposition carry a profoundly weird atmosphere where neither side wants to actually win the game. No idea what the answer is either

Once again, you’re missing that he’s never going to be the guy to be running off the shoulder of the defender to take on a shot.

His game is getting to the penalty spot and his time here will live or die upon our ability to get the ball wide and into the box as quick as possible.

Whilst I’m sure nobody cared what I think, it does seem that people fundamentally misunderstand Celar’s game.

He’s never going to be the guy running the channels off defender shoulders to get in behind, his game is entirely about getting to the penalty spot asap and being alive in the box.

Take some time and truly watch his movement in the box and it’s night and day compared to what we have had before, he’s constantly losing his marker and getting himself into space for the cutback and has already on several occasions gotten on the end of set pieces into the box by being alive and on his toes. Contrast with Dykes who was consistently on his heels and literally never got across his man to the front post to meet crosses.

To this extent he is completely unsuited to what we see as this QPR team as we always spend 6 million years fart assing about before getting the ball into the box and on the rare occasions we break and create an overload there has consistently been a lack of composure to make the right decision for the past few years.

Yes he’s the young red haired lad in first team training photos from the other week.

Signed short term for some cover and Dev matches while Salamon is out.

It’s a nonsense claim though, not least because the PL have rules against Associated Party Transactions that they’ve taken to tribunal as they say the PL unfairly impact them. Their biggest sponsorship deal is Puma for kits, and still less than Arsenal or United get…

They’re profitable because they keep winning trophies.

Man City have been profitable for a decade now.

They’re also no longer owned exclusively by Sheikh Mansour, around 30% of City and their group of clubs was sold to Silver Lake Capital (worlds 11th largest fund) and the Chinese Government.

I said if the PL win it looks horrible for them that their most successful club of recent times has been cheating. If the PL lose it looks horrible that they’ve come for their most successful club of recent times and a tribunal says they didn’t have the evidence to do that.

Either scenario shows a need for systematic change within the PL and crucially justifies the Government regulator they’re desperately trying to avoid.

The reason it’s taken 2 years to come to tribunal is the volume of discovery City provided. The PL have Adam Lewis the best in the business overseeing from their side, they’ll not be beaten by ‘better lawyers’.

Their bigger issue is that the main issues they’re investigating - Etihad and Etisalat sponsorships - were already discussed at CAS and ruled to be perfectly fine.

The other issues - Mancini’s ‘second contract’ and Image Rights - were not discussed in depth at CAS as UEFA weren’t interested in them.

The word has been that the PL has tried several times in the past year to agree a settlement and City told them to get fcked and put their cards on the table - let’s see if that turns out to be true or not.

Either way the PL is fcked, if they win then their most successful team of the past decade has been cheating, and if they lose then they’ve gone for their most successful team of recent times and embarrassed themselves.
