As Clive said in the match report, I doubt we’ll see him (start) again this season.

It took him about 10 minutes to walk half way round the pitch. Concerning indeed.

Defeats mount once more as QPR limp to meek Boro loss – Report
at 19:49 12 Mar 2025

Absolutely. Spot. On.

I thought that I might be having a stroke until I realised there was some **** with a megaphone. As if the junior Hari Krishna troop wasn’t horrendous enough already.

Up there with the worst performances of the season.

Don’t completely agree because he has earned lots of credit, but you have a point.

Insisting on keep playing out from the back as we are doing, clearly is not working as we don’t have the players to carry it off. But this is clearly a managerial instruction.

Time to resurrect the ‘Begovic’ Dunne out ball?

Blank looks all around me on Saturday when the spot kick was given and I also saw nothing.

Rarely disagree with Clive’s reporting but that is never a penalty for me.

And as I am sure I have mentioned before, reports from Orient are that he is a much-improved all round player since they last had him.

Disappointed
at 08:12 9 Mar 2025

Not too disappointed in the cold (warm) light of day. Expected us to lose this and am expecting a zero point week.

However our inability to score against 10 men again is perhaps indicative of where this squad is light, even taking into account the current injuries.

Still we should have got something from this one.

Don’t get me started on the shithousey, especially of their keeper.

Almost certainly. He was booed all second half for having the temerity to be elbowed in the face.

Oddest Football Club Merch You've Seen (not necessarily R's)
at 20:25 2 Mar 2025

Was out walking today and came across a very odd tribute to one of the local teams. I’m in and from NE London (the clue’s in the username!)

Outside a house I was passing, there was what appeared to be a standard council issue refuge bin emblazoned in claret* and blue with a picture of a beaming Jared Bowen on it.

Not sure whether the entire thing is an official West Ham product or whether the householder had just stuck a poster (or something) on their bin.

Seems strange unless they think he’s rubbish. (He’s not.)

I was wondering what’s the weirdest club merch anyone has come across.

* (I mean its purple really, but you have to humour them.)

Time to play our own
at 19:59 2 Mar 2025

Re. Your first sentence, I concur.

I doubt loan agreements ever state that a player has to be picked but there are definitely (financial) penalty clauses where if the stipulated number or games and / or minutes are not played, then the loan costs more.

Not saying it’s the case with QPR at the moment but it is a possibility.

With his part is SU’s first goal, he’ll fit right in at Spurs how they currently play.

QPR finances released
at 10:37 23 Feb 2025

Not on Twitter so have not seen this guy’s commentary but have downloaded the accounts from Companies House and had a look myself.

A couple of caveats - one, it’s Sunday morning and have only skim read. Two, although I am used to reading these, I am not an accountant or financial analyst.

A couple of things, I will comment on. Operating loss has reduced from just over £22m to just over £15m. So I think this means the much quoted almost £2m per month was reduced to c£1.25m. (From a punch in the bollocks to a punch in the chest!?)

Ruben has increased his control, taking shares from Mittal Group (effectively Amit?) and Richard Reilly, so no imminent American takeover which might have been on the cards previously?

I think Clive said we might be getting a Patreon on this, so I will leave it for people more qualified than me to comment further. (Pretty please, Clive.)

Sadly I think we’ll see it at West Brom and possibly Preston. (Although I agree that it’s shit.)

Rick Buckler RIP

I just started getting into music when the Jam were in their pomp. The golden age of the 7" single (sales wise.)

Music seemed to be more tribal back then (maybe it always was) but in my neck of the woods almost everyone liked the Jam.

My music was 2Tone but it was 'permissable' to like the Jam. They were a great singles band.

Sad to hear this. 69 too soon in this day and age.
