Completely agree with everything you have said about the hospitality experience TS. It’s a complete joke that a professional football club doesn’t have live football on in hospitality. They don’t have it on either in the boxes where they expect people to pay thousands of pounds. They really need to work on the hospitality experience. They expect companies to pay a lot of money to sponsor matches, the people who come along may not be Dale fans and would expect to be able to watch live football whilst having their meal and to keep up to date with all the scores during the match.
If the experience isn’t good enough they won’t come back again, you will only get one chance to entice companies to sponsor matches, it has to be a good enough experience to keep them coming back.
Yes it might be expensive to have the live football on but it’s expensive to sponsor a match or have a box for the season.
It has been very quiet in the hospitality area both before and after the match. If they don’t get live football on they will lose out on the hospitality side.

As it’s a new ground for most of us does anyone have any suggestions as to where the best pub is for a pre match pint?

No I didn’t miss it.
Dunphy doesn’t have the funds to take the club forward though.

So what would it take for people to support the proposal, or will it be opposed no matter what, even if people have no viable alternative

I thought it had been established it wasn’t the board that approved it but someone who has been the subject of much comment on this board. I consider that the board of directors have the best interests of the club at heart. Mistakes may have been made but they want what is best for the club.
I still haven’t seen any viable alternatives put forward.

Well said.
Whilst others are critical they are not proposing any alternative.
The directors have the best interests of the club at heart. How else can we attract someone to invest millions into the club.

Chris Dunphy "doesn't have support of major shareholders"

Do we know how much of his own money (not the Clough estate) he said he would put in?

Ifollow match pass
at 10:26 12 Sep 2020

The free match passes are to allow you to watch home game that you are missing as you are unable to attend. You have to pay to watch away games just as you would have if fans were allowed in. The free passes substitute for the home matches you are not allowed to attend. That is my understanding anyway.

Squad - Who's left?
at 18:45 19 Jun 2020

As the Altman consortium own a substantial amount of the club, should they now be involved in identifying players for recruitment. We need to recruit a large number of players and have limited funds so if they could help in identifying potential lower league players that wouldn't command large salaries should we ask them to help. As they are now major shareholders they would benefit too.
Or will they only help when they have control.

I don't think that is how it reads at all. He is a lifelong fan and states at the end his shares are not for sale. He has also increased his shareholding. If it was for profit then he wouldn't make such a big point of his shares not being for sale

It needs to be the right type of investment though.
To me the statement about them not agreeing to a proper exit strategy is key. The board appear to be trying to protect the club from being sold on to any Tom Dick or Dale. If the exit strategy the club is wanting to enforce protects the future of the club then that should be supported by all.
It appears Chris Dunphy wasn't that bothered about that type of protection as it appears he has sold his shares without any exit strategy being agreed or put in any legally enforceable contract

Should Dominic Cummins resign?
at 19:40 1 Jun 2020

Right here goes, I am not political in any way and therefore have no axe to grind against anyone.
My voting history is Cyril Smith in the 70s/80s then his replacement for however long she lasted then can't remember until labour Blair for 3 general elections then no idea until this last election when I voted conservative For I have no idea of his name Heywood constituency..
My understanding is that Dominic Cummings after being investigated by the police they concluded he did NOT break any guidelines in his trip from London to Durham. His subsequent trip to a castle was deemed by the police to be a MIINOR breach of the guiglines and if they had 'caught' him they would merely have advised him to go back.
So the vitriol against him is in my opinion unjustified. Rochdaleriddlier has compared his transgressions as similar to someone drink driving, I would consider such a breach to be a major/serious breach. I would consider a minor breach to be more akin to someone doing 34 in a 30 limit. Not something that I would consider a resigning offence.

January 2020 transfers
at 15:26 13 Jan 2020

Camps contract runs out in the summer. If he won't sign a new one do we sell him in January or let him leave for nothing in the summer. A difficult one for the board. I think that he will be 24 in the summer so could leave without any compensation being payable, I may have that wrong though
