Never meant it as a criticism of you or the site Keith mate it was just my take on why AS was reluctantant to stick his hand in the air and say gimme gimme gimme, even tho GV was doing his utmost to force that very answer out of him. I think AS is a top bloke and i'd hate the situation turn out that left him looking foolish if the club have already made the managerial decision on the qt
I look forward to your posts as i do the pressers i just dont see the point of a 15 min interview that only mentions the actual match in the last 2 mins GV did exactly the same thing. I'm in no way dissing your articles as with RichardO's post they aee very interesting and informative its just the vids put out by the club are all very samey especially the new player interviews where I could put my house on the opening question being " Welcome to Swansea ...... what was it that made you choose Swansea. Dullsville
Well I for one find it disrespectful. I also find your answer nonsense, ask him once ok but to keep interogating him, if I was AS i'd tell him no pipe down and ask a sensible question.
This all maybe the case or it could be that he doesn't come right out and say " yes I'm desperate to get the job " only to be left looking like a right tit when it's given to somebody else. This senario then gives AS nowhere to go but leave the club.
Again thats nonsense 10k a week over 10 yrs is over 5 mill and just because they pack in playing doesnt mean they are not allowed to get a normal job with normal wages
It just depresses me the way the world has gone with people not satisfied with 10k a week ( not withstanding deductions). I'm not saying that CR wouldn't do such things but i swear on a stack on bibles that if i was on anything like these players i'd be setting up charities left, right and centre.
Not getting into any arguements with anyone on here but 10 grand a week for 3 years if properly invested plus what he's already earned will have set himself and his family up nicely for the rest of their lives PLUS there is nothing stopping a ex-footballer getting a proper job when they hang up their boots, Ive worked all my life and the fact that i'll be leaving my daughter a big family house as an inherritance means she has an edge over most kids her age is enough for me. Why people think that footballers need to have multimillions in the bank after they finish playing is a mystery to me.
For once I have to agree with you and would hope that someone will mention that to him, lots didnt want him back this summer whereas I championedthe move to bring him home at 30 he is still playing very well but I'd be 1000% against any former player thinking that they could use us as a retirement home with a half decent contract thrown in, a pity really that he's choosen to renew with Burnley suppose the lure of the Prem and all that, that and the extra 30k a week as well.
Drove there only realising 10 miles outside Bury that we'd forgotten our tickets so had to turn round and fly back to Blackpool to pick them up God knows how we got back in time to see Forbes's goal, happy days.
Tbh bud i'll be working till 6:30 then my neph will be doing the drivin an we'll be going straight in neither of us will be havin a drink cos it's a night game and i'm up at 4:30 on the Weds for work.
At £30 a pop not cheap but me and my nephew will be in da house hoping for a few goals and a good follow up performance if Vip cracks one like Ferrie did all those years ago then all the better.
