Short term Its a good appointment In a way I'm glad they've changed there 'Southampton Way' of appointed untested continental managers as it's not working anymore. As long as the fans get behind him then we have a chance. If we beat Wigan then everyone will be on board.
He did a great job at Blackburn.
Was unlucky to lose the City job, they were just to ambitious and pumped to much money in for him to have a go.
Yeah he was poor at QPR but that was the owners fault.

To the outsider fan puel is massively the victim. But 17 home goals is pathetic. 6 points from relegation. Wimped out of an easy europa group.
We've obviously got someone lined up and the takeover must be sorted. They wouldn't do this otherwise.

Ryan Bertrands contract runs till 2019 so he has 3 years left. Klopp has made no secret of the fact he likes Bertrand though. I wouldn't be surprised if he left next summer. |

Sadio Mane is without doubt Saints' best player. I think it was clear in the summer that if we managed to keep hold of him for the the whole of this season then we have done well. I say enjoy watching him in a saints shirt while we can because he will go on and play for one of the best teams in the world, he's that good. As for the price I wouldn't accept anything less than £30 million. |

I wouldn't call Alan Pardew a Saints Legend!! For all we know Puncheon may have a clause in his contract that says he gets an atomic renewal if we stay up and that's why negotiations haven't started. Like Danny Butterfield getting an extension when we got promoted to the championship. In my opinion Puncheon has been our best midfielder over the whole season so far, having said that since MP has taken over every player has stepped up a gear, most notably Steven Davis apart from Puncheon. |

As much as i would like to see the same team play i think the way West Ham play needs to be taken into consideration. They play route 1 football, just a big hoof up to there big strikers which will bypass the midfield.
With this in mind i dont think Schneiderlin will play because not only will he not see enough of the ball saints will need players in midfield that will close down there midfielders and put pressure on there defenders so they cant hoof the ball up to the strikers. So i think Chaplow will play if hes fit and also Hammond will play to put pressure on them. |
